Ristorante Pizzeria Corallo — Restaurant in Lignano Sabbiadoro

I’m surprised to see so many unfavorable reviews. We stopped in simply because we were nearby and got very hungry. It’s the end of April, so the town isn’t yet crowded with tourists. We received a warm greeting at the door. The service was prompt, and the food was excellent; the sea bass was slightly overdone, but it was one of the tastiest I’ve ever had, served with roasted artichokes on the side. The rest of the family enjoyed their spaghetti con vongole, which was also very tasty (meaning, quality Al dente pasta, good amount of vongole where maybe 10 % fell out of the shell, the rest were still in).

The pricing was reasonable. Every other restaurant and pizzeria nearby had similar prices. The 600g sea bass cost 22 EUR, which I find very acceptable and, in fact, it makes me want to return for more.

Service was great, food was served faster than I expected, we were asked several times whether we want something, we got complimentary sorbet and a nice chat with the main waiter). Very bad experience The pricing it's ridiculously high. We spent 29 EUROS for a couple of mediocre beers (not even 500 ml) and two portions of fries which were big yes but pretty tasteless. However, worst of all, we had to send back the backed potatoes because we though after to ask if maybe there was some butter in them, which was not indicated in the menu, and guess what? There was!

The lady at the counter who I went to pay was very rude, arrogant (she asked me what was my job!?!? as if not being a cook myself I don't have the right to object!) and unfriendly when I pointed out that it's THEIR DUTY to indicate the allergens on every plate and that's scandalous that they leave to the customers the burden to ask EVERYTHING. Not recommended, not at all, not ever.

And btw, I'm Italian, so that's not even the "excuse" as they seems to be a "little" xenophobic reading the...

KATASTROPHE!!! Wir waren heute Abend essen. Das Ambiente von außen hat uns gut gefallen weswegen wir uns dann entschieden haben dort hin zu gehen. Wir haben uns hingestellt und wurden erstmal 10 Minuten lang ignoriert. Immer wieder haben sie uns angeschaut und sind trotzdem immer an uns vorbeigegangen.(es war auch nicht viel im Restaurant los!) dann wurden wir endlich zu einem Tisch gebracht. Die Kellner waren sehr unfreundlich und wollten alles schnell schnell machen damit sie einen schnell wieder wegbekommen. Wir haben dann unsere Getränke bestellt und bevor wir die Getränke bekommen haben ist der nächste Kälner gekommen und hat unser Essen aufgenommen. Nach langem warten sind dann endlich unsere Getränke gekommen.Als uns das Essen gebracht wurde wurde der Eistee meines Freundes von dem Kellner umgeleert. Mein ganzer Rock war komplett durchnässt und mein Handy ebenfalls. Mein Essen wurde auch sehr nass gemacht. Es hat sich keiner bei mir entschuldigt das Essen wurde zwar wieder mitgenommen und mir wurden ein neues gebracht aber das Tischtuch wurde nicht gewechselt! Sie haben mir lächerlich eine Serviette darunter gelegt die nach 30 Sekunden komplett nass gesaugt war. Das Essen war okay. Als wir dann zahlen wollten wurde uns erst einmal die falsche Rechnung gebracht die einen Betrag von 60 € trug. Die Rechnung war falsch und es waren vier falsche Sachen auf der Rechnung drauf die wir nicht konsumiert hatten. Damit haben wir den Kellner dann auch konfrontiert. Der hat nur böse geschaut und ist einfach gegangen. Nach 10 Minuten ist er wieder gekommen und statt uns eine neue Rechnung zu bringen hat er die alte Rechnung mit und hat uns irgendeinen Betrag genannt. (Er hat es wahrscheinlich mit dem Taschenrechner ausgerechnet).Es hat sich keiner entschuldigt wir haben keine Entschädigung bekommen und er wollte uns auch den zweiten Eistee verrechnen obwohl er den ersten umgelehrt hat und wir den somit nicht konsumieren konnten. Eine absolute Frechheit und ich würde es niemandem empfehlen dorthin zu gehen. Der Service ist eine Katastrophe das Innere Ambiente ist auch schrecklich die Tischtücher sind dreckig das Besteck nicht poliert und der Service schrecklich....
