Il Malandrino — Restaurant in Lipari

The food was nice and the price was fine, but:

Our waitress spoke almost no English even though Stromboli is a hotspot for tourists.

We had to wait extremely long four our receipt. I told the waitress several times that we would like to pay, but she never brought us the receipt. After a while, even the guests at the neighbour table got their receipt, even though they were asking for it long after us. The guests were really nice and asked a different waitress to give us the receipt beacuse they noticed that we had been waiting for a long time.

After we went back to the hotel, we found out that there were mistakes on...

A wonderful experience all around!! We were lucky enough to enjoy lunch in the near empty restaurant. The waiter took excellent care of us and hand picked a truly Strombolian menu, which was exactly what we needed after the hike up to the sciara. We had some very tasty Strombolian wine and pasta with Strombolian garlic and even some Limoncello and Malvasia from the Eolian Islands. The great service and food left us no choice but to leave this review. We look forward to coming back...

First of all the man at the front would not leave us alone and kept pestering us as we tried to see what we would like. He followed us and pushed us into his restaurant. I was already ready to leave after this, and seeing the crazy prices was even more of a reason I wanted to leave. however my sister and I wanted a gelato before we took the ferry back to Milazzo, and couldn’t even choose that in peace!
