🥩 Review: Miky’s Grill – c/o Hotel Mesdi, Dolomites
✍️ By Trifan Dan
There are meals that satisfy your hunger. And then there are meals that stay with you — because they feed more than your body.
At Miky’s Grill, nestled inside Hotel Mesdi in the heart of the Dolomites, I had the kind of experience that redefines what “eating well” truly means. I was there with a group of 10 — a demanding table, loud with stories and expectations. But what we found here was a culinary pause from the fast pace of travel. A space where hospitality and taste shook hands.
Everything we tasted — from the appetizers to the last drop of wine — was executed with care, generosity, and a surprising depth of flavor. The quality of the meat? Exceptional. The drinks? Bold, elegant, and perfectly paired. The service? Attentive without being invasive. It felt like someone had invited us to their alpine home and decided to spoil us.
What stood out most was the balance between refinement and warmth. No pretentious plating, no culinary ego. Just good, honest food elevated by passion and precision.
We’ve eaten in several places across the Dolomites in recent days. This was the best — and not just because of the taste, but because of how it made us feel. Welcome. Understood. Well-fed.
🍷 Highlights from our table: • Succulent grilled meats, expertly cooked • Rich, comforting pasta dishes that warmed the soul • A wine list that speaks fluently in both local tradition and modern taste • A team that works like a well-rehearsed symphony
✅ Final thoughts:
If you’re passing through the area — or even if you’re not — make a detour for Miky’s Grill. Bring your appetite and your best people. It’s not just a meal....
Read moreWe booked a dinner at 9. Arrived punctually. Then waited 40 minutes to get a sit. the staff behaved like it was sth normal. Once sitted, waited another 15 minutes for waiting staff to come. It was very hot inside as the grilled is placed in the dining area and no drinks were offered. The manager of the place that was also a waiter( the place is heavily understaffed) had an attitude and wasn’t helpful. Menu is written in the font that is not readable. Drinks are not on the menu and when I asked if they offered drinks, the manager/waiter sounded offended. We ordered octopus for started which was gummy and tasted terrible. Luckily it came with the water, so octopus was possible to swallow…. Bdw water might be the best thing this place has to offer (photo attached). The gnocchi that came after and the fish were decent, thus two stars, not one. However, the Michelin start for this place should be...
Read moreOn our second night in Arabba, we had dinner at Miky's in the same building of the Hotel Mesdi and it was an exceptional experience. We started by sharing an antipasto dish: an eggplant flan with tomato, shallots, and porcini mushrooms—honestly, I could have eaten it all on my own.
For the main course, my husband ordered the local bio beef filet with porcini mushroom sauce, while I went for the grilled lamb cutlet chops from New Zealand. Both dishes were served with small baked potatoes, bok choy, and red cabbage with a touch of mustard. The filet and lamb were cooked to perfection.
The service was outstanding, and the staff worked seamlessly as a team, making the experience feel effortless. The grill master, stationed at one end of the restaurant, adds a special touch as all the beef is grilled to order.
Miky's is definitely a must-visit for anyone in the area....
