Donna Maria pizza — Restaurant in Maiori

Order multiple plates and the food was good. Ordered a bottle of wine and the bottle came out cracked. We didn’t notice it until two pours. I notified the owner and he acknowledged the crack in the wine bottle. He wasn’t even concerned with the thought that the cracked bottle could cause serious harm to us. No apology at all.

When it came time to pay, the fee for the wine bottle was still there. He stated because we drank some wine we needed to pay. He came at us with a serious attitude.

Definitely a scary and sad situation.

We should have noticed that the wine bottle they brought us was already open. Normally restaurants open the bottle in front of you. Also the cork that topped the bottle looked old and reused.

Really wanted to enjoy our dinner. Unfortunately this situation ruined our night, because of the attitude of the owner and our concern for our health. Drinking wine from a cracked glass bottle is always dangerous.

We saw this place on google maps when we were planning our trip to Maiori. What we saw: -Affordable and respectable prices across the Amalfi coast -Good quality and homemade pizza and pasta -Friendly service What it delivered: -All of the above

We were amazed by how good the prices are, not just compared to Amalfi coast but also compared to cities like Budapest! The owner and the waiters were also very friendly, maybe not so much the first day (everyone can have a bad day), but on the others after it, they became very friendly. Things to try: Fried arancini, fried mozzarella and fried pizza! Also, carbonara and pizzas like bufalian and 4 stagioni are to die for!!! For the love of God, don't miss this place if you go to Maiori, it is the best of the best if you are looking for the best quality/price balance! Make sure to arrive around the opening hours as they only have two tables outside, the rest inside are bar chairs with one long table on the wall.

Michelin quality. By far, the best pasta I ever had in my life; and one of the tastiest foods I have experienced. The pasta shifted my paradigm. My previous 10 (in the pasta category; in the scale from 1 to 10) went to a six; and this pasta is the new 10. (I had the pasta with the red sauce; I think it was swordfish.)

The food was amazing; everything is made fresh when ordered. I was skeptical when the pizza was served without cheese, but it was fantastic-just superb. The atmosphere was delightful. It felt like I was at my uncle's house. A must visit when in the Amalfi Coast.
