Deceptive Experience – Avoid at All Costs

Unfortunately, this was the worst dining experience of our entire trip. The positive reviews appear to be either paid for or fake, which is incredibly misleading. While the staff member at the counter was very friendly, it felt like a tactic to distract from the quality of the food — which was shockingly poor.

Despite our gut instinct telling us to leave, we stayed and ordered. Big mistake. The food was clearly pre-made, microwaved in plain sight, and tasted like it had been sitting out all day. The gnocchi and pasta were inedible, and the eggplant was so bad I had to spit it out. We ended up throwing our meals away just a few steps outside the door.

Truly disappointing — even a chain like Olive Garden would have been a better option. Don’t be fooled by the charm or fake hype.

Expensive and cold.

The guy that welcomed us was very kind. Unfortunately I regret to say that I feel he tricked us a bit. He reccomended us to take the gateau di patate as he said it was just out of the oven. It was quite expensive for Maiori's standard (12 euros for two potions) and when we got to the beach and opened the wrapping the food was ice cold. I can understand you can be mistaken and say it's hot when it's not, but he had to cut the portions of the gateau to put it in the take away boxes. So he must have realized it was cold ans still he didn't say anything or offered to warm...

I tried the meatballs with tomato sauce, the meatballs were good but cold and the sauce was also good, my wife had risotto of vegetable but that one was a wrong choice, not very good! However the Gnocchi with octopus was incredible and tasty. They definitely should be more sustainable and not give plastic cutlery. The price was very expensive so by the other comments I must have been ripped off as a tourist. 35€ was a little bit too much for what we had.
