Visited El Dorado around 6pm and learned they don’t begin dinner service until 7 — which was perfectly fine with us. The staff seated us right away so we could relax with drinks, and even made sure to place us under the overhang since they knew a storm was about to roll in (and it did). That extra thoughtfulness set the tone for the evening.

The Aperol and Lemon Spritz were excellent. While waiting, it was nice to see the team share a meal together during their lunch-to-dinner transition (3–7) — a sign of a well-cared-for staff.

Dinner was worth the wait and did not disappoint. We started with the Insalata di Mare (cuttlefish and octopus) — fresh, light, and plentiful. For my main, I went out of my comfort zone and tried the Chef’s Dish of the Day: pasta with white bean purée, grouper, and a basil reduction. The flavors were beautifully balanced and the seafood fresh; a squeeze of lemon and a hint of chili would’ve been perfect for my taste, but it was still outstanding. My husband ordered the Spaghettoni con colatura di alici di Cetara and absolutely loved it.

We finished with cappuccino and limoncello, both exceptional. Service was quick, attentive, and unhurried — we lingered until after 9pm and never once felt rushed.

Overall, a wonderful experience. We’ll...

A delightful surprise. What an amazing restaurant. 2 days before we were scheduled to leave we chose to visit Anema's. We love this place. You cannot visit Maiori and not go here, you will regret missing out. We enjoyed a deliciously presented platter of seafood to start. The flavours were exquisite and the seafood was so delicate and tender. The beef dish was incredible, the flavours were so robust and the meat was of such wonderful quality that it melted in your mouth. I also got to experience the best gnocchi I have ever tasted in my entire life. No lie, it was so tender and fluffy that it could only be best described as eating clouds that melt in your mouth like candy floss. The gnocchi is made in house by hand and the experience of eating this delicious offering will be a memory that stays with me for ever. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better I was served a deliciously rustic ragu of baby octopus on a toasted crostini. It was the most tender and delicate octopus I have ever eaten. It was astonishing. We had an absolutely incredible evening. I must also compliment the staff. So friendly, so attentive and our server was a delight. Thank you Anema for such a...

I had the worst experience at this restaurant, all thanks to a waitress named Maria. If you’re visiting, I strongly suggest you pray you don’t get her as your server. She speaks English (having lived in the U.S. and married to an American), so if you’re a foreigner, chances are she’ll be your waitress.

I traveled over 12 hours to visit the Amalfi Coast and fulfill a long-time dream of going to Maiori. To celebrate, I was excited to order a pizza—classic "when in Rome" moment. Instead, when I placed my order, Maria gave me a funny look. I repeated it, and she started suggesting fish, which I declined. What followed was downright rude—she mocked me for being "basic" because I wanted pizza. As a paying customer, I should be able to order whatever I want without being ridiculed.

I was so fed up that I had to tell her straight up, "Get me the pizza or I'm leaving." Honestly, I was just hoping she didn’t spit on it at that point.

If you're looking for good service, do yourself a favor and go anywhere else in Maiori. There are plenty of places that will treat you with respect and not make you feel like an...

The worst place during our 2 weeks stay in Italy. We ordered two Bistecca ai Ferri, the waitress did not ask about a degree of doneness (as a chef), and the result is on pics. Steak was on the bone, one side of the meat from each was four times thicker than another. Consequently, one part was almost as a coal, another was more raw than "Blue rare" degree. Also, green salad and French fries were awful. Salad was very poor, fries partially cold. We did not want to complain but waitress asked why the meal had not been finished, and after explaining lady started to insist that it was correctly cooked and came up with saying "you did not tell me how you wanted it to be cooked" (even though it was not her who received our order). And a cherry on the cake was added bottle of water into our check that we did not order. Do not order any type of meat, better avoid

We went twice and both times it was good but not great. Some meals are pretty good (lemon desserts, eggplant ravioli), but others lack in taste (calamari looked nice but were a bit blunt to my taste and had unchewable steamed greens base, octopus was not bad but overwhelmed with tomato sauce, fish of the day decent but not impressive, tiramisu average, caprese had great tomato but average mozzarella). Service wasn't welcoming, but quite decent otherwise, the atmosphere is pleasant, especially if you manage to sit on the terrace. It wasn't a disappointment but they're better places for this price tag. Overall, I would say it should be 4.2 - 4.3, not anywhere near 4.5.
