BISTROT sessantasei — Restaurant in Massa Lubrense

So disappointed. Not in the meal because I never ate there. I have been on a hiking trip from Amalfi to Sorrento and I held off on having wood-fired pizza until I got to a place that I thought was worth it.

After checking out the reviews and the pics, I decided this would be the place. So I made a reservation weeks ago and I double checked the hours of the restaurant just in case.

Imagine my surprise when I walk up and the place is completely dark.

I (literally) just checked Google maps and Facebook and both show the restaurant as open...today...the same day as my booking. In fact, it's 2030 and Google is showing reservation availability TONIGHT!

So, to the owners: This is the first time I've ever left a one star review. If you want to run a successful business then you need to make sure that you always update your hours. And that is especially true if you use a booking entity such as Quandoo, The Fork, etc.

On our last night we decided to go here for dinner. They managed to find us a table as we had not booked which was nice, but we soon realised we were going to be here for a long time. We got here about 8:15/8:30pm It took half an hour for our order to be taken, then 45mins for starters to arrive, we got our mains at 10:30pm which by then we weren’t even hungry…but the waiter gave us free chips to try make up for it. Tables that arrived after us had eaten and left before we did, so we ended up being the last table in the restaurant. When wanting the bill, both servers were just sat on their phone inside so we had to get up and let them know. It was all really disappointing on our last night, and for €80 we didn’t feel the service reflected this price. We had paid less at other places like Apposto...

INCREDIBLE! Some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. Not only was the food amazing but Enzo who took care of us was incredible too. He was so friendly and welcoming and made us feel like a locals which was really nice. Also, the ambience was very cute. It really made our night. We went to some of the top rated restaurants in Sorrento and I wasn’t particularly impressed and was starting to think there was something wrong with my tastebuds until I came here. It blew me away. I reccomend the “Raviolo ripieno di mozzarella e ricotta di bufala con salsa ai pomodorini “ (mozzarella and tomato ravioli) “Diavoletta” pizza and the “Pomodori locali all’insalata” (tomato salad) but I imagine everything is...
