Service is fundamental to a good experience while dining out. The food and the view could be exquisite but service, timing and attitude are also very important. Hence, the reason for our rating.
We were a party of 6. The food on the most part was very good. But their service and timing was less than ideal. When you dine with a group you want to eat and finish pretty much at the same time.
Our friends had ordered the chateaubriand which they said was delicious but cold. Their dish would have benefited by being served on heated plates.
My spouse and I had ordered appetizers, grilled octopus and fried calimari which were well presented and delicious. We canceled our main course as it did not arrive and our friends had long finished their dinner.
Part of their problem that evening was not having enough waitstaff for the number of customers they had. They had plenty of busboys/gals but only one waiter to take our order, prepare the table side chateaubriand as well as pay attention to all the...

Hidden gem near Sorrento! Stumbled upon this hotel restaurant in a small village and was thoroughly impressed.
The seafood platter is absolutely must-order - beautifully presented with fresh sashimi, oysters, and caviar. The red prawn risotto (€25) was the highlight - perfectly cooked rice with generous, sweet prawns. For comparison, similar dishes in Naples or Amalfi would easily cost double.
Other standouts: complimentary amuse-bouche, excellent bread selection with quality olive oil, crispy fried seafood with vegetables, and clam linguine. The chocolate dessert was artistically plated and delicious.
Hotel has parking which is perfect for self-drivers navigating the area. Service was attentive and professional. Definitely make a reservation - this place deserves to be busy!
Great value alternative to overpriced tourist restaurants...
Read moreAbsolutely fantastic meal! One of the best we’ve had since being on the Amalfi Coast. The menu had great choice & the food was divine - ‘fine dining’ style -perfect for a romantic meal. My husband & I came to this hotel on our honeymoon. On a whim we decided to have our meal down in the restaurant instead of venturing out into town & wow, we were not disappointed. There are options such as a tasting menu to choose from but we decided to go for a la carte with a lovely bottle of wine from Amalfi. Both of us started with pasta dishes - the cuttlefish ink ravioli was to die for! We then had the most delicious lamb, followed by two exceptional desserts. The view was also incredible - a perfect panorama of the bay & Vesuvius. We will definitely be returning to this hotel again, as well as returning to the restaurant here....
