Ristorante St. Raphael — Restaurant in Massa Lubrense

They were all very friendly and the food was satisfying but a situation occurred that left us behind with a very uncomfortable feeling. As we ordered our food, we were repeatedly asked if we wanted the one meal (wich we decided and asked for) or another one that had the same ingredient, but was more expensive. We stood with our decision. When we got the food served, the waitress introduced the meal to us as the one we did not decide for but corrected herself subsequently for the other meal. So we trusted her and said nothing. When we wanted to pay, the wrong meal which we specifically did not ask for was on the bill. We asked the waitress if there is a mistake and she said no and that we ordered the more expensive meal. She was totally reluctant with the argumentation that "we should have told her before we ate"... As we trusted our order to be taken care of correctly and being reassured when we got served by her introduction of the meal, it feels like being fooled...

Location: Beautiful location right on the beach with sunset view. This restaurant is elevated from the pavement so you have an even better view over the beach. Easy to walk to from bus station on main road, it would take about 15/20 minutes.

Food: Delicious food! We had fresh fish which was a tasty treat. We also had gnocchi and salad which were also really lovely. Complimentary sourdough bread served on the side too!

Price: Good price, inexpensive, good value for money.

Staff: Really friendly staff making it a lovely relaxed experience. The owner kindly dropped us to our hotel at the top of the road at the end of the night.

This was the first place in Italy we went for dinner. Amazing, tasty, authentic food. It was late but the hosts were very friendly, explained the food, served food very well. We had parmigiana di melanZane and gnocchi Alla sorrentina both were super tasty. We had parmigiana di melananzane in other places but nothing could beat this taste. Ristorante has a lovely view of the beach, peaceful. Reaching this place is a bit difficult. If it was near city would have definitely gone every dinner there.
