This restaurant was a stand out meal. Run by a local family, they have balanced classic Italian meals with modern techniques and flavours. The food was nothing but sensational.
We had the grilled octopus which was a stand out - absolutely delicious. Then we had the beef cheek, a pizza and the spaghetti with zucchini and a red prawn (which was recommended by our very friendly and attentive waitress) which was probably the most delicious dish we have had in all of Italy so far. The desserts were just as delicious. Not only did everything taste delicious but it looked beautiful as well. The food matched the casual, cozy and classy atmosphere of the restaurant.
To drink we started with cocktails then shared a bottle of the local volcanic wine - also recommended to us and it was beautiful, full and vibrant.
An absolute must if you are ever in the area and honestly if I was staying down the hill on the coast I would make the trip up to this restaurant without hesitation.
Please keep doing what you are...
Read moreI can’t say enough good things about this restaurant and my experience. We had a large chaotic group of 13 people - mix of adults, kids and babies. The staff were AMAZING! In order to manage the large group, the chef and hostess took the thinking off our hands and brought us a selection of starters and pizzas to kick us off.
Everything was absolutely incredible. The brioche toast was a favourite, as was the octopus.
We had a selection of mains to share (after initially ordering too many which they happily rectified), all of which was amazing.
Desserts were again (you guessed it!) delicious, and we finished things off with some homemade limoncello and a digestif.
The chef was so kind and got the many starters out to us at an impressive rate! It was brilliant to be able to watch him work. Very talented!
The hostess was incredible though, she handled the chaos of my big family with su h ease and kindness.
A brilliant end to...
Read moreAbsolute little gem of a restaurant. Me and my partner (I'm Italian and my partner is English/both massive foodies) had the grilled octopus and the burrata starter, followed by 2 mouthwatering pasta dishes (the rabbit and langoustine fettucce were to die for) and the monkfish (joint first with the fettucce). Since every single dish was outstanding, we decided to indulge in desserts, which definitely did follow suit and were soooooo delicious. We had the mango and coconut mousse and the gianduia/pistachio/raspberry dessert. All dishes were carefully thought out and the balance of flavours was incredible. We had a nice bottle of local wine too. The waiting staff and chef are the cherry on top. Super friendly and patient with us while we took a while to finalise our order. Hands down the best meal of our holiday so far at a very honest price. Couldn't recommend...
