Clint Urban Kitchen — Restaurant in Matera

The food, unbiased, was edible and fine, but I couldn't make myself eat my burger. The service and vibe, however was lovely.

I'm very texture sensitivities and being a very picky chef as well, I and my father instantly picked up on the fact that the patties had a very wrong texture and taste more like meatball mixes than pure meat despite being told that they were pure. A few more pokes though, revealed they're with potato starch because people in the area dislike it when they flake, which is fair enough

I had a Itálico without the lard, which got me some strange looks but eh. I already talked on the scottona patty. The cheese had been messed up by being heated up, turning it rubbery, the arugula was wilted and sad. The bread was fine, if a little undercooked maybe? Or at least it'd soaked up too much beef juice/fat. My father's Classic burger had the same scottona patty and sogged bread. The Angus beef he also had was better in meat quality but still had the starch. Don't go here if lots of fries are your thing, you'll only get about a dozen with your burger, but luckily they're not my thing.

The drinks though! The drinks were a delight. A very nice woman made me an absolutely banger Moscow mule, my favorite cocktail. The owners suggestion for beer for my father was very nice. We spent a long time just chatting with the wonderful owner too, as a chef(me) and a culinarily inclined man(my father). He was so nice. We got to try a delicious cinnamon moonshine(definitely recommend - more of the bark-y, earthy, warm tangs of cinnamon than the typical dessert/sugary sweetness) shot on the house, and I was showed some different, very unique types of liquors. IL MIGLIOR PUB DI MATERA.

Ottimo panino , ricco di sapori e di ingredienti . Si può scegliere tra una decina di panini , tutti dall'aspetto molto molto invitante. I sapori dei vari ingredienti sono decisi e ben distinguibili , non è per niente un mappazzone o accozzaglia di cibi messi gli uni sugli altri. Molto buona anche la puccia , anche questa bilanciata nei sapori e ricca nel ripieno . In menù ci sono anche tante birre tra cui scegliere , artigianali e non , d'importazione ed italiche. Il locale è molto essenziale , quasi minimalista , ma ti fa sentire libero come a casa e non oppresso da paccottiglia o ciarpame sparsi qui e li . Il personale è molto cordiale , disponibile e sempre a disposizione . Le comande vengono evase in breve tempo , e la fila per sedersi si esaurisce molto velocemente.

The flavors of the various ingredients are decisive and clearly distinguishable, it is by no means a mappazzone or jumble of foods placed one on top of the other. Puccia is also very good, also balanced in flavors and rich in filling. On the menu there are also many beers to choose from, both artisanal and non-artisanal, imported and Italic. The place is very basic, almost minimalist, but it makes you feel free as at home and not oppressed by junk or junk scattered here and there. The staff are very friendly, helpful and always available. Orders are processed in a short time, and the queue to sit runs out very quickly.

Gran sándwich, lleno de sabores e ingredientes. Puede elegir entre una docena de sándwiches, todos los cuales se ven muy, muy tentadores. Los sabores de los distintos ingredientes son determinantes y claramente distinguibles, no se trata en modo alguno de un mappazzone o revoltijo de alimentos superpuestos. Puccia también es muy buena, también equilibrada en sabores y rica en relleno. En la carta también hay muchas cervezas para elegir, tanto artesanales como no artesanales, de importación e itálicas. El lugar es muy básico, casi minimalista, pero te hace sentir libre como en casa y no agobiado por trastos o cachivaches esparcidos por aquí y por allá. El personal es muy amable, servicial y siempre disponible. Los pedidos se procesan en poco tiempo y la cola para sentarse se agota muy rápido.

Excellent sandwich, plein de saveurs et d'ingrédients. Vous pouvez choisir parmi une douzaine de sandwichs, qui ont tous l'air très très invitants. Les saveurs des différents ingrédients sont décisives et clairement distinguables, il ne s'agit en aucun cas d'une mappazzone ou d'un fouillis d'aliments posés les uns sur les autres. La puccia est également très bonne, également équilibrée en saveurs et riche en garniture. Au menu, il y a aussi de nombreuses bières au choix, artisanales et non artisanales, importées et italiques. L'endroit est très basique, presque minimaliste, mais on se sent libre comme à la maison et non oppressé par des bric-à-brac ou des ordures éparpillées ici et là. Le personnel est très sympathique, serviable et toujours disponible. Les commandes sont traitées en peu de temps et la file d'attente pour s'asseoir s'épuise très rapidement. A mio avviso il miglio...

Il posto è bello, il cibo discreto, il servizio buono. Ma...è un pub e invece si respira un'atmosfera da self-service o mensa aziendale: è asettico, poco accogliente e senza calore. Non c'è nemmeno musica di sottofondo. E poi, per la prima volta in 52 anni di vita, in cui ho girato locali in mezzo mondo, io e i miei amici siamo stati praticamente mandati via "perchè ci serve il tavolo"! MAI successo prima da nessuna parte! Eravamo lì da un'ora e mezza e avevamo già consumato per un importo di circa 100 euro, magari avremmo fatto un altro giro di birra e altre quattro chiacchiere come si fa in tutti i pub del mondo. E invece no. Il titolare, alle nostre educate rimostranze, ha assunto l'evidente atteggiamento arrogante di chi non ha argomenti. Eppure è ospite in questa città e dovrebbe avere ancor più rispetto per chi gli garantisce il pane quotidiano e gli ha dato la possibilità di realizzare qualcosa che da altre parti evidentemente non è riuscito a fare. Ma tant'è, signori si nasce e lui evidentemente non "lo nacque". E non è nato neanche oste, quindi dovrebbe cambiare mestiere. SCONSIGLITISSIMO!

P.S. Ora mi aspetto la solita risposta scomposta che ha riservato agli altri utenti autori di commenti simili. Così non farà altro che rafforzare l'opinione che tanti hanno di lui e continuerà a perdere clienti. Di questo passo il suo locale avrà vita breve e lui se ne tornerà mesto...
