Hora Sesta — Restaurant in Melfi

We stayed for three days while visiting family. We were unsure of the accommodations at first but then everything ended up being lovely. The selling point of the stay here is the location, right above the Hora Sesta restaurant that had great pizza. It was across from the feast for Ferragosto as well. The check in for the hotel are the same people that run the restaurant and they are lovely. They don't speak English, and I didn't speak Italian, but we used Google translate just fine. I would describe the decor as modern minimal. We had three different rooms and the amenities of each room was different. Our room had an outside, another room had a safe, etc. They provided towels and shampoo/bath gel for each guests on the bed. The shower was great complete with party lights and there was a towel warmer. Beds are standard comfort, nothing to write home about. Breakfast was a croissant at each place setting with cookies and pastries. The coffee machine was good but broke twice while we were there. They had juice, water and milk in the communal fridge for us. I would stay here again on my travels back to Melfi. Not enough outlets in the room though--only one in the bathroom and no USB...

Posto carino, ci siamo trovati qui a pranzo il giorno di ogni santi, menù fisso e fino a qui tutto bene. Eravamo con degli amici ed eravamo approdati in questo ristorante con l’intenzione di mangiare qualcosa di tipico del posto. Andava tutto bene sino a che una delle cameriere che ci hanno servito, senza neanche preavvisarci, si è presentata con un secondo alternativo diverso da quello ordinato. Alla nostra richiesta di spiegazioni ci hanno detto che i secondi che avevamo scelto erano finiti e senza darci ulteriori soluzioni. A questo punto ci siamo permessi qualche rimostranza, alla quale la gentile cameriera ha risposto che stavamo intralciando il servizio. Ovvio è, che tale cameriera dovrebbe ritornare al punto 0, della scuola alberghiera, caso mai l’avesse mai frequentata. Avendo deciso di sostare presso Melfi pochi giorni prima del ponte del 1° Novembre, ed in concomitanza della festa medioevale nel Castello di Melfi, abbiamo pernottato presso questa struttura in maniera casuale (in quanto l'unica struttura rimasta disponibile) ed in tutta franchezza eravamo un po scettici alla luce di alcune recensioni negative sul ristorante.Ebbene trattasi di un'affitta camere ristrutturata da poco, camere ben curate e pulite, con tutti i servizi che un albergo normale può offrire. Se si vuole trovare davvero il pelo nell'uovo, l'unica nota negativa è la colazione, in quanto non viene servita al bar ma, con scorte di merende e confetture low cost, la colazione viene consumata dagli ospiti nelle camere stesse, ed il caffè ed affini lo si possono usufruire tramite macchina ubicato nel corridoio in comune della struttura.
