Pizzeria Rosticceria Lu Sitili — Restaurant in Mesagne

We're Americans in Italy. Tonight is our second visit to this restaurant...it's just that good. The owner is personable, the employees are as well, the restaurant itself is warm and welcomingto the eyes, body, and mind, and the food and drink are exceptional. In fact, when we ordered a half-liter of the house red, the owner told us that the wine was his wine, from his grapes (raised just down the road in Mesagne). It was yum. The pizzas are excellent, the antipasti is local, and the food is made for you .just like your Mama would've made. Also! We spent between €10 and €20 per person (including espresso...

Since a very long time, we come and bring our guests here in this restaurant. We are Canadians who live in Italy. This restaurant, and worthy of a mention of honor. The restaurant and family-run for over 60 years. Recipes are also from Mom! and all as good as each other. The products used for cooking are from the family's own gardens and bio moreover. Even the wine. We always find smiles and good services and say dishes...

In vacanza a Carovigno, abbiamo domandato per un locale dove mangiare antipasto caratteristico pugliese/salentino a Mesagne. La location è immersa nel centro storico, molto bello e curato, tavoli e sedie da osteria ci ha fatto ben sperare, invece una delusione. Per 15 minuti non ci hanno considerato, poi abbiamo ordinato 2 antipasti a 15 euro a persona ed una birra da 66 a 3 euro. Ottimo prezzo per una birra gelida e buona. L antipasto deludente era composto da: 2 fettine di prosciutto crudo (non proprio pugliese), 2 nodini di mozzarella, 2 crocchette, 10 polpettine con 90% di pane grattato ed il resto carne, zucchine bollite, melanzane arrosto, 2 fettine di formaggio fresco, peperoni grigliati, 4 mezzi carciofi sott'olio, pane ( buono), cicoria (buona). Mi sarei aspettato, burratina, stracciatella, capocollo e scamorza. Prezzo esagerato per una degustazione di verdure. Pessima...
