Went there in the evening with 2 companions for a quick bite. Quite the mistake. We ordered a drink for each, a salad, the spaghetti with the smoked cheese, sausage and mushrooms, and for me a canneloni.
First, it took about 45 minutes(!!!) for the first dishes to arrive which were the salad and the spaghetti. Salad was OK, the spaghetti wasn't with a sausage but bits of chicken that were dried up so much you could use them as rubberbands. After about 15 more minutes (mind you I have been waiting for my canneloni for about an hour at that point), I asked a waiter to check on it again, and a few minutes later he returned with it. For a canneloni that has been cooking an hour I had a great expectation. If my expectation was a dart, and reality a target you might as well say I missed so bad I hit the moon. The canneloni wasn't fresh made, it was frozen and then re-heated and poorly so, because some parts of the underside were still very much frozen. From the looks of it, it mostly seemed to me like it was some sort of a frozen grocery brand product that is kept frozen.
Another issue that since there is no separation between smokers and non-smokers we happened to be surrounded by people who smoke, which for us killed the mood before the food even arrived. Though I'll admit that this seems to be a larger issue with the Italian smoking culture rather than this specific restaurant
There are two reasons I am not giving the place a 1 star rate: The people who actually ordered sea-food in tables near us seemed to enjoy their meals quite a lot, though they were too plagued with the insane waiting time for your dish to arrive The location is amazing and the place...
Read moreIf you’re in Italy and want to experience seafood done right, this beachside restaurant is an absolute must. Everything we ordered was beyond delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.
We started with the Tris di Fritturina in Tempura di Calamarelle, Alici e Baccalà, perfectly crispy and light, without any heaviness. Then came the Spaghetti alla Nerano, creamy and delicate with zucchini, a dish that truly represents the Amalfi spirit. The Spaghetti alla Bolognese was rich, hearty, and full of flavor — pure comfort food.
For dessert, the Cheesecake ai Frutti di Bosco, al Pistacchio, Cocco e Nutella was the cherry on top — indulgent, creative, and impossible to resist. Every bite felt like a celebration.
What made the experience even more memorable was the service. Laura and Simona were absolutely amazing — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They made us feel at home and guided us through the menu with warmth and professionalism.
The location by the sea, the fresh flavors, and the wonderful hospitality make this restaurant one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Italy. Highly recommended — I’d come back in...
Read moreTo say the meal was sub par would be an understatment.... came all the way to Italy for a very poor meal. The caprese salad looked like the cheese was cut by a 6 yr old not a chef, the cod and fried squid were the high lights of a dim meal, plated on a bed of lettuce scraps that wouldn't even pass for a salad at Olive garden. Then there was the pasta, what kind of "italian" restaurant uses fake Parmigiano cheese you find sitting on a grocery store shelf collecting dust, that coupled with rubber ham most likely from a can it was an experience I hope to forget very soon. Wine wasn't great either, again what kind if Italian restaurant only has 1 wine available? Shame on us for not turning around when the desert menu was the freezer sign from a gas station... pre packaged ice cream bars... real classy.
Stay away, far far away. There are plenty of other...
