Il Verricello — Restaurant in Meta

What an incredible dining experience at Il Verricello! Not only are the views breathtaking, but the food is just as impressive. We started with the tuna tartare appetizer, which was unbelievably fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. For mains, my husband went with the special of the day, half lobster linguine, which was rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. I ordered the shrimp risotto and was blown away. I had never seen shrimp prepared flat and rolled like this before, and it was such a unique touch. The risotto itself was creamy, seasoned perfectly, and cooked to perfection.

Our server, Mario, deserves a special mention. He seemed to be handling everything, from serving to bussing to cashing out, yet he maintained a warm, kind demeanor and provided excellent customer service despite being so busy.

Overall, Il Verricello is a must-visit spot for both the views and the food....

Esperienza tutto sommato positiva, anche se ci sono degli aspetti in cui Il Verricello può senz'altro migliorare. La sensazione generale è che manchi un po' di esperienza, e ci sta dato che mi è sembrata una gestione molto giovane. Noi personalmente siamo stati molto sfortunati. La location che potrebbe essere romantica con tramonto e mare a due passi, è in realtà situata accanto ad una spiaggia libera, con persone a fare il bagno anche dopo le 21. Oltretutto nel giorno scelto da noi c'era forse organizzata una festa di bambini con quasi 20 giovincelli urlanti che giravano per la spiaggia. Capisco che il ristorante non può fare molto a riguardo, però per noi ha annullato del tutto quella che è la componente "romantica" della cena. Rimane comunque una proposta di menù valida, ho trovato qualche piatto più riuscito di altri. Il polipo scottato di antipasto è FENOMENALE, così come anche le alici fritte ripiene molto buone. Pasta con le vongole invece un po' deludente, un po' slegata, si sentiva troppo il limone e poco le vongole e i lupini che erano davvero poco saporiti, peccato. Frittura fin troppo abbondante, porzione quasi da 2. Infine il prezzo, considerando il posto non propriamente turistico e i prodotti freschi ma non sempre sfruttati al meglio, l'ho trovato un pelino alto. Si vede il tipo di proposta e di esperienza che puntano a dare ai loro clienti ma forse non sono ancora arrivati ad esprimere tutto il loro...

The food was very good, we had Ricciola carpaccio as a starter. As mains we had the fish of the day, Wild Sea Bass all'acqua pazza, it was amazing. Tagliatelle ai Gamberi (prawns) also amazing. The sides were good. Very nice and romantic view at sunset. The staff very professional, friendly and they know everything about every dish! We spent little for the quality of the food, for the service and for the ambience. Well done...
