Risto Bar Antonietta — Restaurant in Meta

This place was the closest to my Hotel and it looks good. There is a terrace but it is located on the side of a busy road. To hear each other you have to talk very loudly. However, the biggest disappointment was the staff of this bar. Starting from the acceptance of the order, serving meals and the end of our visit, the staff behaved extremely arrogant and unprofessional. For example, the question "what kind of beer do you have?" the waiter replied "I do not know." They brought us stale mozzarella, our portions were smaller than those of our neighbors. In general, the owners do not like tourists. Another couple of tourists came and the host told them that the kitchen was closed (although it certainly worked!). It was amazing for me to see such boorish behavior in such a hospitable area as Campania, where I visited dozens of great restaurants. If the owners do not want to work with guests from other countries, then I would advise you spend your money elsewhere. In walking distance from this cafe there are several very worthy options. We ordered takeaway from here, and the pizzas were outstanding! I also visited yesterday morning with my two children, and I must say this visit was the highlight of our time in Meta. THANK YOU, Roberto, for an amazing experience. My children were truly touched by your kindness. We will have very fond memories of our visit!

My Wife and I travelled through Sorrento as part of our honeymoon and fell in love with the beach. We stayed at the panorama palace hotel and solely spent our time between the (very close) beaches and the (even closer) Ristobar Antonietta. Their employees are so friendly and efficient (our favorite server spoke no less than 5 languages fluently which was nice) and their food was among the best on the trip. Octopus cooked better than I've ever had, gnocchi that was tender, accompanied by a delicious red sauce, and other seafood items that were perfetto!! We came for lunch all 3 days, and dinner 2 nights (after a far-too-high-class dinner at another nearby restaurant) and got to know the staff, who was so personable and eager to meet the customers.
