My colleague and I made a reservation here on a Saturday night and it was one of the best meals I've ever had in Italy, and I've had many (I come every summer for a month). The atmosphere is magical with the inner courtyard and banana trees and garden. The service was impeccable...respectful, helpful, and with a sense of appreciation of the customer that makes you feel very at home. Chef Ruben took the time to introduce himself and offer a (gratis) amuse bouche, which was raw shrimp with cheese with soy sauce (how does this go together?...incredibly!). From that point on, we were in the hands of the waiters and Ruben. My colleague got the "Jackson Pollock" melanzane and and pasta nerano (with zucchini from the garden) and I got the marvelous polpo "luciano" followed by the best spaghetti vongole I've ever had (Ruben adds a subtle amount of reduced broccoli which transforms it into a whole other level, another "secret" preparation that must be tried). We put ourselves in the hands of our waiter for our vino bianco (a local Falanghina) which complemented everything very nicely. The evening was made complete when it unexpectedly rained and we all worked together to move under their covered porch, a gleeful way to further embrace the staff and our fellow diners! We will be back every year, henceforth. This is my new favorite restaurant in all of Italy (seriously)!!

The welcome and introduction to the menu was great, and seeing the enthusiastic chef meet and greet guests at their table was admirable and added to the charming atmosphere created by the staff and the lovely garden. By far the most accommodating and jovial experience we had had in a restaurant during our holiday. Perhaps, I showed a little too much enthusiasm, or had too much wine, and therefore, couldn't explain myself, but in a well-meaning effort to enquire as to what sauce was on the vegetables - it reminded me of oyster sauce or miso - but, I think, I incidentally caused confusion when I said the sauce tasted fishy (oyster sauce hadn't occurred to me in the moment). I am still wondering what was on the vegetables. Apologies to the chef, if I did cause any confusion. Perhaps, you thought I was talking about the meat sauce.

We arrived in Meta, and after a full day of journeying we’re looking for someplace nearby for dinner. Found Tavernetta Cinquantotto on a Google map search and decided we would try it. The atmosphere was 5 out of 5 stars but the Food and Service were 6/5 stars. Christian our server was an excellent host, patiently translating the menu for us since there isn’t an English version of the menu (yet). The food was beautifully presented, hot, perfectly cooked and simply delicious!! We are only in the area for 4 nights but we are already planning to go back. Since it wasn’t a busy evening, at the end Christian introduced us to the Chef which was a special treat. Hopefully, news of this restaurant will make its way back to the folks at Michelin. This is a real Gem of a Restaurant.

What an amazing and lovely experience. The food was amazing and the service also outstanding. We had burnt beef tartare and Nutty Tuna as starters, which both was already breathtaking. The pork belly and also the sea bass as main dishes was both super soft, on point and simply WOW! The service was more than on point, we never waited long for something, they always checked on us (but not too Much as well!) and their mokka and grappa are also highly recommended. The only thing I don‘t like is that we don‘t had really a chance to come a second time on our trip this time. Highly recommended, if you are in the area you shouldn‘t miss this place! Go there, smile, enjoy, and leave a generous tip!

Great for vegeterians too. Eveything we ate tasted amazing, rich and suprising, especially the souflle with the celery pesto and the tortellini. The atmosphere is relaxed. Better to come early or reserve a place in the lovely garden. You might have to wait a while for the dishes but having a look at the perfectionism and detailed design they made with you'll be probably understanding. This place is run by a young couple and I wish them good luck and success.

Wow wow wow, as we mentioned already to the team on our way out; “best food we’ve had during our vacation”. Please be aware that the carbonara is addictive and will have to be ordered twice 😇 Lovely place, lovely service, lovely food. We found this place on a complete blind search and happened to discover a gem. Hopefully this gem gets discovered by many others. Keep this up, you guys provide the best service one can find in the south of Italy. 🩷🩷🩷
