El Gordito — Restaurant in Milan

This place has awesome empanadas! One of the best I’ve ever had and you can see they are made fresh. We discovered them by accident when we checking in at our Airbnb next door. The owner was so friendly and helpful. He even made us two small sample sausage sandwiches to try while we waited for the empanadas to be made. Two days later I was checking out and having trouble calling a cab due to a miscommunication/ language barrier and he nicely called the cab company for me. Please patronize this business for all of the reasons above....

I've been to Argentina, Venezuela, Brazil, Paru, and Ecuador....and eaten a lot of empanadas! And let me tell you, these are excellent Argentinian-style empanadas! Absolutely stunning! The owner is one of the nicest restaurant hosts I have ever met and the food quality is unbelievable. You can watch him prepare the empanadas and the taste is just delicious.
