Pasticceria Castelnuovo — Restaurant in Milan

Wow. Those 3 letters just sum up this place. We were staying in Milan for 3 weeks and after finding this hidden gem we were hooked. The coffee and pastries are delicious, but the thing that makes this place special is the owners and staff. Super friendly, and explained what pastries were what. Prices are really good value for money. Beware! Most places close on Mondays and to our disappointment we missed out on having our morning coffee here the day we were leaving. This may be one of the most wonderful and finest pasticceria stops in all of Italy. At least it is certainly one of the best in this part of Milan. Stop in for fresh squeezed orange juice, great cappucino and a cornetto to die for - they fill the chocolate ones with dark chocolate (or milk chocolate) sauce rather than cream and it is wonderful.
