I hate to write any negative reviews but I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. We’ve been there in the mid July during our holidays. Food is decent but in comparison to the overall experience totally overpriced. Unprofessional service is a huge problem. We’ve been waiting very long for a wine list and then for the wine. We’ve spent half an hour at the empty and cleared table waiting for a dessert menu. Finally we got an incorrect bill with an extra item on it we didn’t order. When we’ve asked for a proper one the waiter told us that we can’t get it because of “the fiscal policy” in the restaurant (!). Then he angrily threw a cash (!) for this extra item at the table… no comment… BTW we had a similar situation in Rome with the incorrect bill but there “the fiscal policy” was different and it wasn’t any problem with printing a new, corrected bill. We even heard word “sorry” which in Trattoria Arlati is obviously unknown. Definitely our worst restaurant experience during a whole...

Tucked away from the tourist hotspots, this cozy establishment feels like a well-kept secret among those who truly appreciate Milan’s culinary heritage. The menu is filled with time-honored regional dishes, prepared with love and a deep respect for tradition, from risotto alla Milanese to osso buco that melts in your mouth.
What sets this place apart is its selection of exquisite wines, carefully curated to complement the flavors of each dish. The ambiance is intimate yet unpretentious, making it the perfect spot for food connoisseurs who enjoy discovering Milan’s gastronomic heart away from the crowds. Read moreWe came here at the recommendation of a friend-of-a-friend and wow are we glad we did! The food was outstanding — we had fava beans & salame to start, followed by ricotta+spinach tortelloni, and then by slow-cooked veal dishes (osso bucco & the daily special) one of which was accompanied by the crispy saffron rice which was a delight of both flavor and texture. One of us also had the classic tomato+basil spaghetti and two days later we are still wondering how something so simple can be so good. We had an excellent bottle of local red that was quite moderately priced.
For dessert three of us shared a nice tiramisu and the house specialty: a warm slice of panettone (which they make year ‘round, not just at Christmastime) topped with the same custard they use in their tiramisu. 🤩😇🥰
Atmosphere is intimate and charming; decor is eclectic.
This restaurant is off-the-beaten-path but absolutely worth going out of...
