My Mother and I wanted an early dinner after arriving in Milan, I read good reviews, and we waited at the doors when the restaurant opened, with no reservation. Upon inquiring, we were told we could dine, but we could only spend one hour. We decided no, we did not want to rush through a good meal in 60 minutes, and planned to leave, but they relented and agreed to 90 minutes, but only a table inside. We agreed, annoyed we had a time stamp on our experience. We waited 10 minutes before getting water or a glass of wine. Our server - one of 3-4 as they kept changing throughout - only addressed me, and glanced briefly at my Mother while telling us the specials. Strike 1. I advised I had a gluten-allergy. They didn't understand. When I told them I was allergic to flour, they thought I meant the flowers on the table and tried to remove the centerpiece! Clearly allergies are not important here. Needless to say, menu options are limited for anyone with dietary needs. Strike 2. My Mom only wanted one course, and asked for hers to be brought with my second, or main, versus my appetizer. They brought her food with my appetizer. Strike 3. I ordered pepper steak medium-well. It came out rare, with cold potatoes. Not warm. Cold. No pepper sauce (they told me it was GF, but failed to mention it would come out plain, without sauce). Strike 4 (it's imaginary baseball now!) They replaced it, now medium-rare, with more cold potatoes. Strike 5. Of course we monitored the restaurant expecting people to pour in and fill up, since we were told we could only spend 60 - "okay - sigh - 90 minutes", yet four tables behind us remained empty the entire time. After paying, 'take as long as you wish!' What the...? Very pricey for Italy, and par for the course in Milan. I strongly advise against Ribot. We are both seasoned foodies who love to dine out. Easily the worst dining experience in our three weeks...
Read moreFood are great specially the big bone of Angus. The slice steak was good but too many spices it covers the taste of the meat. Place is quiet good but its too crowded. It’s too many tables to close to another tables its like 5 meters of distance to one another. So it means you don’t have any privacy when you want to talk something private. Also if a client beside you doesn’t smoke you felt embarrassed. In short you can’t smoke peacefully or you got bothered if others smoke besides you specially for the person who doesn’t smoke. Waiter are quiet kind and always available. It’s seems classy restaurant but it doesn’t. It’s just all business to earn. There weren’t have an order to handle better the activities. Just served the food and that’s it’s. When it come to foods ok good quality no comments but a real classy restaurant they also prepared for everything also for a doggy bag or let’s say when have a leftover foods. Like our experience not all the food we’ve order we haven’t finish at all so we ask for doggy bag and they put it in aluminium foil and plastic bag we order a rib Angus and we didn’t order a cheap foods.
