Sapori Stellari — Restaurant in Milan

Summarize: Very very nice experience, price correct but not transparent. Almost 4 hours for dinner. Prepare at least 25€ per person (without drink).

First of all, the boss came to tell us this was not in restaurant, they would chose everything for us. We were ok for that and asked him to chose a red wine. Have to say, the wine was perfect with the meat.

The boss himself came to make a presentation of the dish, what kind of meat, which part etc, hi didn't speak English but he really tried to make us understand, by using some figures and asking other person to translate... (Very animated evening)

Secondly, he brought the dish with a slow rythme, some of you may have difficulty to be patient... 4 hours for dinner is not easy... But I think it was reasonable because we need time to make our tough to "calm" to taste next round. And yes for every round he brought different kind of meat and informed what is the correct order to taste, from light to strong, that was amazing!!

Ok finally, what we had and what we paid. We had 4 rounds of salami, and 2 rounds of cheese, bread for free, one bottle of red wine (top, chosen by the boss), two glasses of white wine and one bottle of beer, two bottles of water. 80€ in total. The price seems correct for us, but not transparent, because they don't inform how much the meal and how much the drinks, it seems that they make a proximal price for every table, but still correct.

Any way, it was a good experiences and...

Chiedo scusa anticipatamente per la lunghezza della recensione, ma la mia esperienza è stata complessa e merita completezza. Per il mio compleanno il mio ragazzo mi porta in questo locale, prenotando tramite TheFork con il 20% di sconto. Arriviamo alle 20:05 e troviamo la porta chiusa. Il proprietario, Beppe, non aveva visto la nostra prenotazione, ma ci fa comunque accomodare, anche se mette un po' le mani avanti sulle tempistiche. Ci spiega la filosofia del posto e precisa che alla fine del percorso da lui proposto, ci verrà offerto un ulteriore tagliere gratis se avremo ancora fame. Beppe ha sicuramente una forte personalità, il ché risulta pesante e invadente per persone discrete, simpaticissimo invece per gente allegra. Arrivano pane e prima portata, tutto di buona qualità. Da qui, la tragedia: dalle 20:30 alle 22 non abbiamo visto alcun piatto, la sala iniziava a riempirsi con grande confusione a livello gestionale, le cameriere erano quasi inesistenti, noi iniziavamo ad annoiarci e il mio compleanno era ormai rovinato. Beppe passa a scusarsi e giustificarsi, proponendosi di offrirci l'intera cena e comprendendo le nostre lamentele, senza però fornire una logica motivazione a un'infinita attesa per un locale che fondamentalmente non cuoce, ma impiatta. A un certo punto un cameriere sta per portarci finalmente il secondo tagliere, ma Beppe lo blocca! A quel punto capiamo tutto: il percorso imposto da Beppe obbliga la sala a proseguire con gli stessi tempi, in modo che a lui sia concesso di spiegare tutto una sola volta. Questo è comprensibile, ma sarebbe allora opportuno non consentire prenotazioni in orari diversi! Dalle 22 in poi infatti arriva tutto rapidamente. Nessuno ci chiede se vogliamo il famoso tagliere gratuito. Quando il mio ragazzo va a pagare il conto la scena è memorabile: il proprietario finge un colpo di generosità e applica il 20% di sconto che in realtà era già nostro diritto per TheFork.

I veri problemi però arrivano dopo: inserisco il mio voto su Google, prevedendo di completare la recensione in un secondo momento e, udite udite, oltre alla risposta del proprietario che mi accusa di non consentire commenti alle mie recensioni e di non "metterci la faccia"(in realtà non so di cosa parli e il suo commento l'ho letto, quindi non capisco ed eventualmente chiedo scusa per l'ignoranza informatica), trovo anche un suo messaggio sul mio profilo privato Facebook! La follia!

Nonostante tutto ciò, nonostante il compleanno rovinato, nonostante io non tornerò a breve, consiglio ai più curiosi di andare assolutamente! Ritengo che una serata in cui arrivi al Sapori stellari verso le 21, in compagnia di persone allegre, possa essere assolutamente piacevole!

Per Beppe: spero di essere stata il più oggettiva possibile evitando attacchi gratuiti e acidità varie, quindi esigerei lo stesso trattamento. Chissà che una sera la curiosità mi possa di nuovo portare al tuo locale....

I wished I never had a dinner reservation at 10pm.

They open at 830pm and my group was the first to arrive.

The owner did not speak any English but was sooooo hospitable.

We had a huge variety of cured meats and cheeses and we loved the wine that they recommended to us!!!

Will definitely come back the next time in Milan. The only regret was not spending enough time and eating more here!!!

PS- there is no menu and the owner will just bring out what is fresh and good that day!
