Spargolo - Vini & Cicchetti — Restaurant in Milan

By chance I happened to walk past this place one evening -- and I went back religiously until I left Milan! You cannot do hospitality better. These people treat you like family and make you feel so welcome. Laura was so kind, remembered my name the first time I returned and also took care of me. Each time I went she offered me something more (here is some repellant, come inside for the air conditioning, here's a quiet place to sit alone -- and here are my recs for Milan). I just happened to be staying near Spargolo and, as I enjoy wine and was curious about cicchetti, I decided to drop in. Truly, this is a special place. Everyone made this somewhat aged solo traveler feel welcome. The cicchetti were tasty, the wine good, and the service was incredibly helpful and friendly. Era da un po' che non lasciavo recensioni, ma questo locale ne merita una assolutamente positiva. Scoperto un po' per caso cercando su Google alla ricerca di una enoteca in una zona comoda a tutti in cui si riuscisse a mangiare anche qualcosina in più del solito. Locale minuscolo, ma questo non è assolutamente negativo, anche perché si riesce fin da subito a instaurare un rapporto cordiale e conviviale con i proprietari, Lola, Pacio, e il loro collega di cui scopriremo il nome la prossima volta. Si perché è uno di quei posti in cui ci si deve tornare, specie se si è habitué dei bacari veneziani; qui infatti si trovano cicchetti preparati sul momento o quasi, uno più buono dell'altro, e qualche tapas anche questa apprezzabilissima. Noi eravamo in 5, più una neonata, abbiamo preso 3-4 cicchetti a testa (anche più grossi e farciti di quelli veneziani) 2 porzioni di polenta e seppie, una di cicerchie, due portate di tarallini e olive, due mezze d'acqua, 2 bottiglie di vino, conto 38 euro a testa, nella media di Milano se si vuole passare una bella serata e mangiare qualcosa di ottima qualità.
