I didn’t reserve a table at the restaurant, so I expected to wait behind those with reservations. However, the extended wait at the entrance felt awkward, though a stunning seafood display provided some distraction.
Once seated, I scanned the QR-code menu and wine list, ordering the “Raw Prawn and Langoustine” appetizer and “Spaghetti alle Vongole” as my main course.
The appetizer—three raw prawns and three langoustines—was fresh, flavorful, and well-priced at EUR 18. The extra virgin olive oil drizzle offered a refreshing twist compared to the usual Asian soy sauce and wasabi pairing. My only complaint was one langoustine with an uncleaned vein.
The Spaghetti alle Vongole was tasty, though not the best I’ve had. The pasta felt slightly undercooked, but the combination of extra virgin olive oil, clam juice and white wine was delightful.
Initially, the waiter seemed distant, barely acknowledging my “grazie” with the customary “prego.” Surprisingly, he later offered complimentary pecorino cheese and a small glass of liqueur, elevating the service from a potential two-star rating.
The lack of air conditioning made the dining experience uncomfortably warm. I was sweating during the vongole course, as were other diners, who shed their...
Read moreAwful service! 17th of September decided to have a dinner here. The waiter brought us a QR-code menu, we ordered 4 pasta and a bottle of wine. Firstly waiter brought us bread without any explanation. After that meals and in the end plate with something (later we recognised it was cheese). We finished our meals and didn’t even touch the bread and cheese. In the bill we found out that the bread was included (12€). We were confused and asked waiter about that. We told him politely that we didn’t order bread and cheese that is why we don’t want to pay for it. Firstly he told us “No problem, we will give you back the rest” After that he dropped the terminal for calculation on the table and went away. Other waiter come to us and we paid a bill. A second after that the first waiter came back to us, showed the menu with some additional options (in the web menu there is nothing additional), told us that if we want to visit Italy we should know the rules of restaurant and he is not responsible to explain it to us. After that he threw on the table 20€ and told us “TAKE IT AND DON’T COME BACK”!!! We left this money on the table and left...
Read moreCame to Milan for a short weekend and had a terrible experience here. We were charged for stuff we didn’t order and didn’t eat so naturally we asked what that was and why we had to pay for it. The waiter got extremely angry and defensive, told us that’s how things work in Italy and we should have known if we wanted to have a vacation here. It wasn’t mentioned in the menu they gave us (the QR code) and obviously we were not told that there would be any additional charges. We said we wouldn’t pay for stuff they didn’t tell us about in advance. The waiter shamed us for being petty, literally threw 20 eur at us and told us not to come back. This is not an adequate reaction to any customer’s question and if you are that mentally unstable, please seek therapy and don’t work in customer service. You never know anyone’s story and judging people for asking about extra charges is extremely low. Please use that 20 eur we left you as a down payment...
