Occassion: Lunch in a weekday for one person
🍖 Wagyu Yakiniku lunch set - €45 The Wagyu Yakiniku Set includes 100g of Wagyu beef, some vegetables, kimchi, miso soup, white rice and drink (cold/hot tea or water). Wagyu Yakiniku is definitely worth trying! I felt the beef melted in my mouth!!! The vegetables included in the set are a king trumpet mushroom, bell pepper, zucchini, and eggplant. As shown in the picture, there aren't that many vegetables. This set is the perfect size for me, someone with an smaller/average appetite. Although 100g of Wagyu beef doesn’t sound like much, I think it is a good amount because Wagyu beef has a higher fat content than standard beef. Kimchi and miso soup are average. Maybe a more lightly pickled kimchi would fresh up the taste better?
🍨Seasonal dessert: Semifreddo castagna - €10 I love chestnuts and I belive the waitress herself loves this dessert, because she made it sound irresistible! I'd give it a 6/10.
🪑/🦮 I appreciated that it was spacious between each table and not overcrowded. Due to this, seating is relatively limited, so reservations are highly encouraged. The restaurant accepts reservations for one person as well, which is quite friendly for people who enjoy...
Read moreThe best and only Japanese yakiniku in Milan. Amazing selections of top quality A5 Japanese wagyu meat, but we wish they also serve other grade as well. However, the experience was not the best for us. We specifically asked for the food to come at once, but they refused to. This place has a very weird serving etiquette. They will serve the meat first, followed by pork, and lastly the rice dishes like an Italian food course despite this being a Japanese yakiniku. I understand that this place is a fancy yakiniku, but you should try to accommodate our request not refusing. We found this to be annoying because usually we eat the wagyu along with rice, even in Japan. The rice took a very long time to serve and by that time were were almost full. We couldn’t fully enjoy this meal as we were literally stuffing ourselves with the rice bowls that came at the end. This meal took us a very long time because they slowly serve everything one by one. Overall, meat quality was great (obviously, it’s A5 wagyu). Understanding the import fees, but for this price, the cut were too thin and portion is too small. They also priced every cuts at...
Read moreThis is my second time to come to Yazawa! It is soooo popular I barely made my reservation. The last time I have been here that I have tried out the lunch menu. This time I choose the dinner menu (150euro). I have to say this is the best choice I have ever made. The appetizer is a serie of wagyu beef including sushi, beef stew, seasoned veggies and beef lard tartare. The main course is a serie of bbq which includes different cuts of wagyu beef. 🤤🤤🤤The meat is so delicious that almost melting in your mouth. I suggest to eat with a tiny tiny wasabi. The wasabi brings a fresh scent of the meat. The second course is bbq beef with special chef sauce. I have to say you need to try then you know!!! The highlight is the dessert! It is a contemporary Japanese interpretation of italian dessert with March gelato, lime sorbet, tiramisu with chestnut and pana cotta with a hint of mint! It ends the dinner so perfectly...
