Nestled in the heart of Milan, Cittamani by Ritu Dalmia is a culinary oasis that tantalizes the senses with its exquisite Indian cuisine. As we stepped into its elegant ambiance after a day of exploration, we were greeted not just by the warm hospitality, but also by the tantalizing aromas wafting from the kitchen.
Our culinary journey began with a delightful surprise - two varieties of papad, Aaloo bada and Pani Puri, setting the tone for the feast to come. Each bite was a revelation, showcasing the chef's mastery in blending traditional flavors with contemporary flair.
The Goli Bhaji and Chole Bhature, served in an unconventional yet delightful manner, were a symphony of textures and spices that danced on our palates. The Dal Makhani, rich and creamy, and the Kurkuri Bhindi, perfectly crisp, were testaments to the chef's dedication to authenticity and quality.
The Dum Aaloo, Stuffed Kulcha, Garlic Naan, and Tandoori Roti were all crafted with precision, each bite a testament to the expertise of the culinary team. And as if that weren't enough, the Mango Shrikhand provided a sweet and refreshing finale to our culinary odyssey.
Beyond the impeccable food, the presentation was a work of art in itself, with each dish meticulously plated to please both the eyes and the taste buds. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of our dining experience, leaving us energized and fulfilled.
In essence, Cittamani by Ritu Dalmia is more than just a restaurant; it's a culinary masterpiece that transports diners on a sensory journey through the vibrant streets of India. From the first bite to the last, it's an experience that lingers long after the meal is over, beckoning us to return for another unforgettable...
Read moreNestled in Piazza Mirabello, Cittamani is an experience in itself. Right from spotted floor, the knitted wooden chairs and earthen pots placed on the walls, this restaurant transported me to a 'summer home' somewhere in northern India. Talking about the 'inspired cuisine', I think the food here is a perfect marriage between two cultures - For starters, I ordered the Stuffed puri, Stracciatella and tomato relish, which tasted fantastic, reminded me of a pizza fritta, next we tried the Biryani of the Day and the Kachori sabzi for mains. The biryani was delicious, fragrant and rich, full of flavour yet light on the pallate. The kachori sabzi was filling, I absolutely loved the pumpkin subzi, sweet and tangy on the same time, perfectly balanced the hearty richness of the kachori.
It is almost exciting trying all these dishes in a Fine Dine environment sitting in a noble country away from home. I think Chef Ritu Dalmia has done full justice in preserving the sanctity of both cuisines, which are served on one platter with spot on flavours, bold character and loads of love.
My compliments to the chef for an amazing meal and the front of house staff for flawless service, I will definitely be back -...
Read moreThis is a must by chef Ritu Dalmia. Cittamani is a stylish restaurant in Brera area with great atmosphere when you walk in. The staff were so friendly and it was a warm reception.
We were first offered a tapioca cutlet complementary by the chef. We decided to go for the Dal Pakwan which is a sindhi dish and the Goli Bhaje, from Mangalore. The Dal Pakwan was really tasty and almost was like a chaat. The Goli Bhaje was like mendu badha but the highlight was the coriander and coconut chutney.
For mains we went for the saffron and pomegranate Paneer which was so beautifully decorated but the paneer pieces were huge and soft. It was one of the best paneers we have had. The kofta was another flavoursome dish with its peanut and coconut sauce. We went for the naan and white rice so we can indulge in the flavours of the curries and the raita was perfect. Reminded me of my mum’s.
The falooda was so so so good. I loved it. The rose syrup was perfect and the whole dessert was refreshing.
I would recommend this place for a toone who wants some authentic Indian flavours while...
