Crudo e Amarone - enocruderia — Restaurant in Mirano

We heard about "Crudo e Amarone" from some of our local friends in Italy, so we picked it as the venue to organise our get-together. The venue is a recently restored heritage-listed Italian Villa from the 1800's, located in the heart of Mirano, inland territory of Venice. We were told by our local friends that the quality of the food and the wine selection here were amongst the best in the area, and, boy, did they deliver! We were greeted by the owner Alessandro and his team, and we pretty much blindly followed their recommendations on food and wine. As starters we had a large shared charcuterie board with a selection of cured meats (the pancetta is a must-try, it literally melts in your mouth) and local cheese, paired with a classic Prosecco DOC from Treviso as aperitivo. This was then followed by a range of raw fish as main course -scampi and red prawn tartare on a bed of fig jam were my two personal favourites, but the whole crudo range was simply outstanding-, paired with Rinaldi metodo classico, a prestige bottle fermented sparkling white wine that I always heard about but never had the chance to try before. Everything was top-notch: from the seafood quality (can't get any fresher than this) to the wine pairing proposed by the sommelier. Also noteworthy: the staff, besides being very helpful with recommendations and pairings, are also fluent in English, which was excellent as some in our group don't speak Italian. Again, the venue is a true piece of history, with the modern perks of today's comforts that don't detract from its heritage appeal. If you are after an authentic yet modern Venetian experience but want to stay off the beaten paths of the more turisty areas this is definitely a place you don't want to...

sono venuta a fare aperitivo dopo cena e dopo aver ordinato il mio drink mi sono recata al bancone per ordinare le ultime due mozzarelle in carrozza che ho visto esposte, mi sono state segnate sul conto, mi è stato chiesto il numero del tavolo e mi è stato detto che me le avrebbero portate a breve. dopo aver atteso 20 minuti e aver quasi finito il mio drink, mi sono alzata a chiedere dove fossero finite e mi è stato chiesto con affare confuso se non mi fossero arrivate per poi confermarmi che sarebbero arrivate a breve. dopo un altro quarto d'ora si è recata al mio tavolo una cameriera che, con disinvoltura e menefreghismo mi ha avvisata che le mozzarelle in carrozza erano finite, senza scuse ne spiegazioni che neanche dopo averle chiesto non ha saputo dare, stando in silenzio e guardandomi con indifferenza e con...

Esperienza da non ripetere...Location molto suggestiva, personale poco attento. Indecisi su quale locale fare l'aperitivo ci siamo soffermati su questo nuovo locale. Abbiamo chiesto 3 spritz all'Aperol ed una birra ed una Coca Cola. Il locale non era affollato. L'attesa un pò più lunga del previsto poi la sorpresa...la birra arrivata sgasata, lo spritz che di prosecco non ne aveva nemmeno l'ombra ed a finire la coca cola calda...solitamente con lo Spritz i camerieri portano qualche patatina in altri locali e chi conosce il mestiere lo fa perché poi il cliente sia invogliato a prendere qualcos'altroda bere..qui no...ci hanno portato 6 grissini che ci hanno pure fatto pagare...fate voi le vostre...
