I was lucky to stumble upon this hidden gem—a family-run treasure nestled in the hills of Cernobbio—not long after I moved here. Words can hardly do justice to an experience of dining on the terrace in summer months, basking in the sunlight, with the awe-inspiring views of Lake Como as your backdrop. Pair that with a Negroni and an array of local fish dishes (think marinated smoked perch, risotto, and perfectly grilled fish), and you’re in for something truly special.

In the colder months, the cozy table by the fireplace sets the scene for a different kind of magic. After a meal of exquisite meats—braised beef, homemade pasta, or roasted veal with polenta—a café corretto with grappa is the perfect way to end the evening.

Crotto Valdurino è un piccolo locale nascosto nelle viuzze di Moltrasio, un piccolo gioiello che nasconde in sé tutta l'eredità storico-familiare che lo caratterizza e che vi abbraccerà, non appena varcherete la soglia. Un calore familiare e un'atmosfera rustica, dai profumi genuini, vi attendono. A trasmettere queste sensazioni ci pensano, non solo il locale storico, ma anche i gentilissimi e preparatissimi ragazzi del personale che vi faranno sentire veri ospiti di casa. In tema con l'atmosfera, la cucina è casalinga e tramanda la tradizione tipica comasca, con piatti a volte dimenticati o poco conosciuti, come il missoltino o la miascia, torta tradizionale di Moltrasio.
