During our stay in Monreale that was our absolute number one place to go! The people who were working there were so wonderful and friendly(also English speaking)! It was an incredibly welcoming and warm experience each time. The atmosphere in the restaurant was charming. Everything we tried from the main menu was delicious. Pay attention to their specialties which are specified on the blackboard on one of the walls, but not in the menu. That was the whole gastronomy experience to try it out! So many great local dishes with meat, cheese, and aubergines. The desserts were also incredible! I think I had my best tiramisu there. This restaurant is a total scam! First of all, always verify any price through the menu, never take their word for it! Second, food was bad, the cook clearly doesn’t know what he’s doing. And third, they try scam everyone they can get their hands on. CHECK YOUR BILL TO THE LETTER! I saved my bill, the prices for almost every dish did not match the ones in the menu, and the total on the bill didn’t match the individual item prices. We planned to go to Osteria Peper's which is right down the road due to the reviews on Google. But we didn't realize it was closed Wednesday when we arrived, so we came up the street to this place. They only had one table left because they had reservations for every other table in the place. We sat and watched them refuse several people who wanted to eat here. We are very happy that our first choice was closed because the food here was great along with charming service and a very nice atmosphere.
