I am writing to express my deep disappointment following a recent visit to your establishment. As a loyal customer who has been coming to your pizzeria since 1990, it pains me to say that my latest experience was far from the quality and hospitality I have come to associate with your business.
While the pizza remains delicious — as always — the condition of the small room outside the main pizzeria was completely unacceptable. The area was extremely dirty, with visible dust and spiderwebs everywhere. The lack of lighting, combined with the air-conditioning being off, made the environment uncomfortable and unwelcoming.
When I brought these concerns to the attention of the owner, rather than receiving an apology or a willingness to resolve the matter, I was met with an unprofessional and raised tone of voice. The only person who showed any courtesy was the owner’s wife, who offered a brief apology. Unfortunately, the overall attitude demonstrated a complete disregard for customer service.
Moreover, I was neither offered a coffee nor given any form of goodwill gesture, such as a small discount — something I believe would have been appropriate given the circumstances. For an establishment with such a long-standing reputation, this lack of basic customer care was both surprising and disappointing.
I hope you take this feedback seriously. Long-time customers like myself expect better — not only in terms of cleanliness and comfort but also in the way concerns are handled. I sincerely hope this matter is addressed, so that others do not have to experience the same level of neglect...
Read moreThe only good point is the atmosphere, the rest is bad. I don't know if the waiter was racist but we didn't have the same menu or the right to eat pasta even though the other clients could. We asked for pasta carbonara at first and said no, when it was written on the board at the entrance, and only after he went inside and came back said the only pastas we could eat were carbonara. Our waiter was an old Italian man not very friendly and even rude at first. So we had pizzas and carbonara, and even then the pizzas were HARD, probably re-heated and weren't even good. The carbonara too was awful, it was so bad we even thought it was pasta and bad cheese at first. The pastas were UNDERCOOKED, not even al dente, they were hard too. I forgot to add we had to go ask for our glasses ourselves because they only gave us 2 (that were already there) when we were 5. The prices were much too high compared to what we got. We didn't even finish the pastas and one of the pizzas (we ordered 2 carbonaras and 3 pizzas). To come back to my assumption that the waiter was racist, I'm basing it on some of the bad reviews I read and the fact that we were the only family with 4 people of color when all the other clients were white (not blaming them) and all had the entire menu instead of just pizzas and were served faster than us even though we were here before them. We have done many restaurants and pizzas but these were the worst we ever had, even worse when you know...
Read moreThis was recommended to our family by our Bed and Breakfast host. She was typically good on recommendations, so we trusted here. Unfortunately, she got this one wrong. I’m an art and books lover, so the place was quite charming upon entering and the service was warm. We sat down in our funky chairs under some (well not so fine) art and some great Italian books and started to order. My son was in a pasta mood so we decided to share our favorite, a dish I have perfected over a couple years, Carbonara. Instead of Carbonara, we got their breakfast with a side of pasta. I admit, the scrambled eggs and bacon were fine, but this is not carbonara. All would be okay, and I would go on my merry way, but after pointing this out to the cook he attempted to tell me that this is how it is done in Sicily, different from America. I’ve lived in Switzerland for 5 years and had Carbonara in Italy enough to know this is not the case. The rest of the food was just okay. Perhaps find somewhere else for your pre or post...
