Good food, a bit pricey for the size/portions.

Starter: fried zucchini and fish balls - very nice!

Primi: ravioli with salmon - also very good but too small even for primi (in Rome that would usually be quite filling).

Secondi: baccalà fish with potatoes - very good.

Service: Was good but not great. Seems like they were in a hurry.

Vibe: nice views of the harbor but depends where you sit. They have tables literally on the road which are the worst to have. The ones on the terrazza are Better, but also - they have ones closer to the road (noisy) or closer to the views (these are the ones you need to ask for).

Another problem: the terrace is above a fish market. Which means it smells of fish but in a good way...

Lastly, a 3 EUR cover charge per person is quite high, especially with the very simple plane bread that you get (we didn't even get olive oil or balsamic vinegar.

Bottom line: It was a bit expensive and a bit noisy but overall very...

We had dinner at Controvento in Porto Santo Stefano and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is cozy with a nice view of the harbor, making it a pleasant spot for a family meal.

I had the spaghetti allo scoglio, which was delicious. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the seafood fresh and flavorful, with a good mix of clams, mussels, and prawns.

The rest of my family ordered the frittura mista, and it was very good—crispy, light, and not oily, with fresh fish and calamari. Portions were generous, and everything felt well-prepared.

esperienza da non ripetere.

siamo andati a mangiare ieri 22 agosto, era la prima volta a santo stefano e chiediamo se c’era posto, un ragazzo ci dice di no..ma poco dopo vedo due ragazzi che si erano alzati dal tavolo e gli rifaccio la domanda. il ragazzo mi guarda e prima che gli dicessi che un tavolo si era liberato mi ha ripetuto di no, quindi ho insistito e alla fine un signore che lavorava li ci ha fatto accomodare, fosse stato per il ragazzo potevamo andare direttamente via, infatti ci ha subito dato l’impressione come se non volesse essere li a lavorare. accomodandoci ci chiedono cosa volessimo da bere, successivamente per ordinare da mangiare sono spariti. ho chiesto al ragazzo dell’entrata e si è diretto ad un’altro tavolo, alla fine ho chiamato una cameriera e siamo riusciti ad ordinare. abbiamo ordinato come antipasto soute di cozze e polpo e patate. bene, abbiamo aspettato 45 minuti solo per l’ antipasto. buono, ma nulla di eccezionale. come primo abbiamo ordinato gnocchi crema di scampi…praticamente PASTA AL SUGO di sapore, non sapeva minimamente di pesce. alla fine abbiamo chiesto se potevamo pagare al tavolo ci hanno detto di no di andare dentro il locale..e dico solo una parola PIETÀ per la cucina che si...
