We came with a group of 10 people, 8 adults and 2 children, for dinner with high expectations due to reviews we heard and read. We all wished we would not have gone. From the start we were ignored and treated like the staff did not want to bother and wanted to get rid of us as soon as possible. We needed two children's chairs but we're told they only had one. 10 minutes later, for an Italian family, the missing chair was 'found'. Half of our table received drinks, the other half had to ask the staff several times to take their order. We were never offered bread while around us the first thing on the table was bread. Starters and main dish were all put on the table at the same time. 3 of the adults and a couple of the dishes for the small children only arrived after we mentioned this to the staff. The rest of our table had finished their meals by then. Staff forgot? Or didn't care? Porchetta was cold when finally arrived. Was our group treated like this because we did not speak Italian? I have visited restaurants in Italy often and have never been treated like this. I have also in my 62 years never not given a tip but now I was sorry I even had to pay for the meal. We were all happy this dinner was not on the last night of our vacation since it would have left a very nasty aftertaste to a wonderful vacation. My advice .. forget about going to this restaurant and go to Qui Ciccia which is close by and where you are treated like the staff wants you to have a great...
Read moreThe menu is not extensive, but offers typical Tuscan dishes at very reasonable prices. Delicious porchetta. We ordered crostini neri and panzanella as a starter, a generous and delicious portion! For the main course, I had the dish of the day ‘Peposo di Chianina with rosemary potatoes’ and my wife ‘Maialino brasato al vino rosso’, accompanied by a mixed salad. For dessert we shared a ‘Torta della Nonna’. Everything was very good. The ‘house wine’ (red and white), one litre for €10, is an honest Tuscan wine with a good character. However, they also offer a selection of good wines by the bottle at very moderate prices. We paid for food and beverages (2 bottles water, one litre house wine, 2 Espresso) 62,-€. I can highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for traditional Tuscan dishes. The terrace, on the piazza, is cosy. Very good value for money. It is also possible to buy porchetta, sausage and ham, salami and cheese to take away in Aldo`s attached butcher's shop. If the butcher's shop is closed, you can also choose from a small selection of sealed delicacies in the restaurant.

The owner and the cook are entertaining all the guests…..you see that it is managed with love...
