AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

Very disappointed! I wish we read the reviews first before we ate in this restaurant. The main reason why we chose the restaurant was because I wanted to eat fish and vegetables. We're aware that the photos in the menu are AI but I never expected the food to be not what was advertised. I wasn't expecting it to be exactly the same but I was expecting the food to have the same ingredients as what was in the menu. The fish came with only potatoes with a bit of salad leaves and a lemon wedge. And it's not fresh! I actually asked for salt and pepper so I can add some salt to make it taste better and also for the black pepper to mask the unfreshness of it. Another thing, my partner had diarrhea and vomited that night from the meat he ordered. It didn't look like what we expected but I told him to just eat it. I felt so guilty as it was my idea to eat in this restaurant. My partner already told me to go somewhere else in the beginning as he didn't like the idea of AI pictures in the menu. He was right! I wish I listened to him. It was so expensive for the food that was not enjoyable and caused my partner to be sick! It was the worst restaurant we've ever been in Italy. We never expected it as we love all the food we had in Italy, of course, except the food we got from this restaurant. Never...

Our group of 4 visited this restaurant on Thursday. We went for the wine tasting and also for a meal. The wine tasting was totally underwhelming. We were given two glasses of different wines and also a plate of appetisers. We were told the wine compositions. Ie the grapes used in production. AND that was it! There were no tasting notes or further information given about the wines. Very very poor. We have been to many tastings and this one fell far short of our expectations. Following this we sat to eat a meal. Two of the dishes were good and one was outstanding, that was the focaccia pizza with truffle and mozzarella. However, one of our party ordered a pasta dish. When they bit into the first piece it was found to be FROZEN in the middle. The dish was sent back. It was returned properly cooked less one pasta packet. When challenged we were told that the chef said we should only have received 3 not 4 pasta packets. (at this point we saw a neighbouring table receive 4!) I'm not an expert but I think that serving frozen food is not safe. This and the way it was dealt with is a disgrace. Location was lovely and my Focaccio with mozzarella and black truffle was fantastic. However one of our group had a pasta dish with large parcels of pasta that were still frozen in the middle. She had to spit out the frozen one she had tried. The staff took it away and the chef heated it up. Minus the frozen one. When we pointed out that there should be another one they said no, you have already eaten it. Staff were lovely but chef or management were not fair on the bad dish.

The management have in their response obviously mistaken us for a larger group who were also unhappy. There was only 4 in our group and the food was not COLD but still FROZEN in the middle. As previously mentioned staff were great but the response to our review by the owner was appalling and shameful. From a country of great food this is unacceptable. Downgraded to 1 star.
