We were group of 6, waitress did initially accommodate us aftera wait, gave us the menus and left us a long while. We were thirsty as very hot day. When she passed by we asked if we could order drinks, her reply was the waiter will come, we waited and waited, finally we ordered drinks. When he returned for our food order we asked simply if they could simply modify a dish,he asked us to ask the lady waitress, she was very uncomfortable and uncooperatively awkward. The drinks still hadn't arrived so we decided to leave and eat elsewhere, as two of the party were not going to eat there, they were busy and the waitress clearly was not having a good day, she did not have people slills, we have had lovely meals in Montecatini and Alto but sadly not at this restaurant. Hope they realise its the tourists trade that keeps the business in profit and without this it would be quite a different...
Read moreI would give zero stars if I could. Arrived at 8.15, ordered quite quickly and drinks came at a reasonable time. Then the wait for food... we waited an hour (we should've said something earlier) my partner spoke to them "it's on it's way" still nothing. Everyone around us was getting theirs. I asked again, the waiter had forgotten to put our order in! So another wait. The starter came and was not what it said on the menu. We received toasted bread with tinned tomatoes. You're in Italy with the best produce and this is what you're producing?! Finally comes our mains, or so we thought. Nope it was the wrong order. We waited a little while longer then got up and left. TERRIBLE. We got up at left at almost 10pm after waiting so long. Do not recommend this place. Also, the waiters didn't actually tell us they'd forgotten or it was on it's way until we questioned them, they weren't...
Read moreThe food was actually ok. So the kitchen are suffering from extremely rude waiting staff, who don’t set the tables, don’t bring enough bread and don’t even attempt to wait on their clients professionally. We kind of expected that as the whole little square was really touristy. But as it turned out they are also crooks. We were 5, they tried charging us cover fee for 10 plus 2 extra bottles of water (4 instead of 2) and an extra bottle of wine (2 instead of 1). When we showed them the “mistake” they turned unapologetically rude. There was no attempt to make it up to us with a digestive or something and joke themselves out of it, the way any decent Italian place would do. Instead they were shouting and kicking us out. Unbelievable, right? We should really have called the police and reported them. I hope the owner reads it. We were there for late lunch...
