Excellent food. As in « tastes like excellence ». We had the daily specials (pasta dishes) that were delicious and comforting. But the real star was a stellar traditional toscan ‘ciccia’, that I will remember all my life. Wonderful little restaurant serving incredible authentic local dishes.

We stayed nearby and headed here multiple times as it was so good.

They have two/three pasta dishes and two/three mains that change each day and are all fantastic.

There is a great atmosphere with many locals frequenting it and you’re made to feel very welcome.

Ci ero stata anni fa a pranzo trovandomi molto bene. Oggi al volo ho fatto una merenda essendo affamata e in zona Uopini. Questa volta sono stata nella saletta del bancone:atmosfera verace, potresti essere nel 1940 o nel 1970 o oggi...con le chiacchiere degli avventori abituali e quelli di passaggio,i tavoli in legno,baristi vivaci e garbati, il banco con le torte casarecce,i formaggi ,i salumi ,e altri che penzolano dal soffitto,il tagliere con la porchetta e l'angolo col pane. La lavagnetta con i piatti del giorno ...... Esiste anche una saletta interna per i pranzi veri e propri. Buono ed economico!

Consigliato se vi trovate di passaggio lungo la Cassia,sulla vecchia strada verso Monteriggioni ,magari facendo una puntata prima di un'escursione alla vicina Montagnola,o magari siete pellegrini della Francigena (occhio alla chiesetta romanica di Uopini). E consigliata come esperienza genuina anche se siete studenti universitari della vicina residenza di Uopini ! Vendono anche prodotti...
