We gave this place a chance despite the reviews because there are no other options for food you can take with you in Monteriggioni, so hikers are limited for the next rural stage. The sandwich was fine, if not unremarkable, but the €9 price tag seemed a lot for what it was. We added 2 bananas, thinking that they wouldn’t be that much, but we were charged €4.50 for them. That felt extortionate, but the server had run the bill by then.
