50 Kalò - Piazza della Repubblica — Restaurant in Naples

The best pizza I’ve ever had in my life! I originally wanted to book a table at the other 50 Kalò, but they informed me that this is the only one that accepts reservations and honestly, I’m so glad I came here instead of waiting in line at the other one. First of all, I managed to get a table just five hours after calling, while most other popular places in Naples would tell you to “call earlier” or that they only take bookings a day in advance. Secondly, they greet you with a glass of prosecco when you arrive such a nice touch! The staff speak English (which is quite rare in Naples), the service was fast and professional, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. It genuinely felt like dining in a Michelin star restaurant with how attentive and caring the team was, yet you pay a very fair price. I came here specifically to try traditional Neapolitan pizza and the famous fried pizza that were on my must try list for this trip and both exceeded every expectation. I honestly think this place is underrated and deserves way more recognition. If you’re choosing between this and the other 50 Kalò, I’d definitely recommend coming here instead, it’s just as good and you’ll avoid the long lines so its a win-win for both you and the business. Sometimes high demand can hurt quality, so opening a second 50 Kalò was a brilliant move by the owner.

I stumbled upon this place completely by accident—it was the only spot open late at night, just around the corner from my apartment. And… I was hooked! It was actually my first time trying a margherita pizza, and since then, I’ve been eating it every single day.

The crust is perfectly thin and crispy, the cheese melts just right, the tomatoes are fresh and flavorful, and the basil adds that final, classic touch. Everything is perfectly balanced—you can tell they really know what they’re doing here.

The place itself has a cozy atmosphere, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. If you’re short on time, you can order takeaway—the service is impressively fast.

We had a lot of good pizza in Rome and Naples during our trip last week - but 50 Kalo was the best for us. We chose this location b/c it accepted reservations - that was key!

We started with the Potato Croquettes - which was excellent. I absolutely loved this dish and the creaminess of the mashed potatoes inside were delicious. I would highly recommend it.

For pizzas - we got the GIALLA PROVOLA E PEPE and DIAVOLA DI CASTELPOTO. The first was yellow tomatoes while the second was a spicy sausage. I loved the diavola while my husband loved the gialla. One pizza is enough to share between two people, but we wanted to try them.
