Riserva - RoofTop — Restaurant in Naples

At first the locale looks nice and chic with lovely ambiance, so you expect good things. However, sadly the service from the beginning was very confusing. The table next to us was having difficulty ordering and they spoke fluent Italian, but the commotion happening with the wait staff understanding what they desired was too much work. After sometime, about 20 minutes, it was our turn to order. Since Riserva has a concentration on steak, I was excited to order a dry aged ribeye. When I told the waiter and his assistant that I would like a ribeye, dry aged and would appreciate a recommendation, since they had multiple options, he kept showing me a T-bone and fillet. I reiterated, I would like a ribeye. Again he referred me to a T-bone or fillet. I gave up and ordered the lamb ribs instead. Unfortunately the lamb was terrible. It was deep fried and over-cooked and the first bite was bone, due to the fact that it was so thickly breaded that you have no idea where to cut or what to eat. The rosemary potatoes were even worse! How do you mess up potatoes? They were obviously at least a day old, reheated potatoes, and the taste and consistency were awful! Seriously, how hard is it to cook up some potatoes fresh? If I want reheated food, I’d eat a microwave dinner.

I would also like to point out that as soon as we arrived, we made sure to tell the staff of my boyfriend’s peanut and walnut allergy. We even translated it in writing in Italian to be perfectly clear. We don’t want any possible surprises or trips to the hospital. So of course they brought out a bread board with walnut bread. We asked them to please take it away and they told us we can just eat around it… How uneducated can you be in food service?!?! We couldn’t get out of there quick enough. What a mess this...

We had a truly disappointing experience at Riserva Rooftop. The service was terrible from start to finish. Our evening took a disastrous turn when a server accidentally smashed a glass all over our food. Instead of promptly addressing the issue, they made it worse by bringing out gnocchi as a substitute for the risotto we ordered—something we never asked for.

To make matters worse, the broken glass wasn't cleaned up properly, and my fiancé ended up with a cut on her leg. When we requested to change chairs, the girl with curly hair slammed the chair down as if we were being unreasonable for wanting to avoid sitting in broken glass. The lack of professionalism was astonishing!

The only person who seemed to genuinely care was Hugo, the sommelier, who actually attempted to rectify the situation. Unfortunately, the wine we received was off, and the food took an eternity to arrive. We came in at 10:30 PM and ended up leaving at 1 AM, all due to this unfortunate series of events. I can't recommend Riserva Rooftop based on this experience.

So in conclusion If you really want to go, just go for drinks as the view is spectacular which cannot be said for the service unfortunately. Which as a business owner myself makes me feel sorry for the people that own the business as they clearly spend a lot of money to...

Superior service. Extremely well run, like a well oiled machine of service and personal attention. Our family was welcomed and treated with sincere respect. If you are coming to Napoli, you must make this a go-to dining experience. The menu is a welcome relief from typical Napoli dining. Let's be honest... Napoli has some of the best food in the world. The problem is a limited palate. However, after numerous 4 and five star restaurants, we found one that finally thinks out of the box by taking local, unknown dishes and upgrading them to 5 star quality. The vibe is totally on point with chill music. Nothing obnoxious. Cool but classic vibes perfect for location and conversation. I would say the atmosphere leans towards young at heart and chic. Families.... come at around 1900. Single or couples come at 2100. Superior in every way. The price is a value at a higher scale. Nothing is charged over what it should be. Staff is young, fresh, crisp and enthusiastic. I would guess hand picked. All beautiful. Nothing is pretentious but a natural confidence. We were blessed by the experience.
