Went for last dinner whilst in Pisa to enjoy some local cuisine. Restaurant was close to Leaning Tower so had good location and was not too busy so we decided to try it.

We were seated by lovely girl (hence 2 stars, otherwise would be 1), she explained the menu and deals they had on. The interaction with her ended then, as she was the one who brings people in.

Our waiter was a gentleman in his 40s, my partner ordered his meal, me I've asked the waiter if he can honestly tell me about seafood rice, as I was hungry and didn't want to be disappointed. He said he eats rice for 37 years and it's definitely nice, so I've ordered it based on his recommendation.

We waited about 5 mins for drinks, which arrived with basket of bread. At this time on out table we had 2 drinks, basket of bread and cutlery. We waited another 5 minutes for someone to show up so we can ask for side plates, water and condiments. No one came so I had to get up and ask the lady cleaning the tables to get us some olive oil and balsamic. She did. We tried the bread - was stale and not fresh at all. We left it waiting for mains.

When mains arrived, we were asked if we need anything else by 3rd waiter, we said all is well and started eating. My partner ordered tagliatelle with mushrooms, was average and he eats pretty much everything so ... My seafood risotto well, was watery, didn't taste of seafood and was so bland I had to add salt and pepper multiple times to get it down me. I was trying to get someone's attention, the waiter who recommended it to me was having a blind moment and did not want to look at me. I ate the dish seeing no one cares and suddenly when we finished he noticed us again.

He came to ask how was the rice, I said it wasn't nice at all so he got moody and awkward, at this point we were getting upset so just asked for the bill. He brought it in silence like he threw a strop. Okay....

On the bill there was 5€ extra charge - coperto - which is charge for stale bread and condiments.

Overall pretty terrible experience and we...

A Perfect Evening at La Torre – Numana’s known Gem

We had a truly delightful experience at La Torre in Numana. From the moment we arrived, the cosy atmosphere and breathtaking views set the tone for a memorable evening. Nestled above the coastline, the restaurant offers a panoramic backdrop that’s hard to beat—especially as the sun begins to dip below the horizon.

We were given a fantastic table that comfortably accommodated both us and our dog, Toffee, who was welcomed with genuine warmth. It’s rare to find a place that balances elegance with such a relaxed, pet-friendly vibe.

We opted for the €50 tasting menu, which I highly recommend. It’s a curated journey through the restaurant’s most popular dishes, offering a generous and well-paced selection that showcases the kitchen’s strengths. Each course was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, with flavors that felt both local and refined.

To accompany the meal, we enjoyed a lovely bottle of local white wine—crisp, aromatic, and the perfect pairing for the seafood-forward menu. The staff, all young and incredibly friendly, were fast, professional, and attentive without ever being intrusive.

For the quality of the food, the charm of the setting, and the overall experience, La Torre is a standout. Considering the location and price, it’s an easy 5-star rating from us. We’ll definitely be back—and Toffee gives it...

A mi parecer mala elección o mal elaborado. 100%.
