Il Portico — Restaurant in Nuoro

The second 5 *Star restaurant that we were fortunate to experience in Sardinia. Ristorante II Portico in the city of Nuoro is a well run restaurant with a great staff that offers delicious food and wine. The owner/host was friendly and very kind. His entree recommendations and wine selection was spot on. I am still thinking about the delicious lamb chops and ribeye steak combination. The plating was a work of art and the table service was superb. The complete meal for the two of us was approximately $68. Try getting that value in New York city or Boston USA for a *5 Star dinner....

The place is lovely as is the service. Food was delicious. The waiters took care of us in an extraordinary pleasurable manner and were efficient at the same time. I’d recommend trying the spaghetti aglio e olio with oysters and sea urchins as well as the hazelnut semifreddo! How I rate: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ = Awesome! You need to try it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ = Very good. This place is such a treat. Traditional Sardinian taste-combinations coming off just exquisitely well. The chef is a creative genius, who manages to reveal the real value of many of the dishes which you may find anywhere on the island, and to add some really unique inventions too.
