Il Pomodoro Porto Rotondo — Restaurant in Olbia

I had dinner here, and it was really awful. We were four, and each of us ordered a dish. I ordered an entrecot. It was probably the worst piece of steak I have ever had. They show in their Instagram the picture of the steak, and believe me, is far away from it, thin, small and tasteless. I wanted it medium term and it came completely cooked because of the thickness… 22€ for this, just look at the picture (non French fries included). My colleagues ordered pasta, they all ended with hunger, it was almost 3 pieces of pasta, we are heading now to McDonalds, it will be better for sure. I visited Porto Rotondo with very low expectations in terms of prices and tasty food, but Il Pomodoro surprised me. I had lunch there in a moment when almost all the restaurants placed right in the port were closed. I liked the atmosphere, the fact that we immediately got a table and that the personal was constantly trying to serve as the best they could.

Prices - very good! I would say excellent prices for pizza and honest ones for seafood.

Food - tasty, I had a delicious starter and very good calamari fritti. Over all, I think the restaurant tries to please both tourists who enjoy having a classic pizza Romana and seafood lovers.

It is a right place for families with many members or even for 2 persons. Il Pomodoro is just the restaurant for everyone who enjoys good food...

Absolutely Disappointing – A Total Rip-off

I had one of the most underwhelming dining experiences at this restaurant. I ordered the “Grigliata Mista” for a shocking €23, and what I received was nothing short of insulting. The portion was ridiculously small – a few pieces of meat that looked and tasted like they were straight out of a supermarket grill pack. One tiny sausage, a dry and thin piece of grilled chicken, an oddly shaped patty, and a bit of pork – barely seasoned and dripping with cheap oil.

To charge €23 for this sad excuse of a mixed grill is outrageous. There was no effort in presentation, no side dishes, no bread, nothing. Just a plate that looked like a sample platter rather than a...
