Ristorante Fuori Porta — Restaurant in Oria

We arrived at this restaurant and used our best Italian to ask for a table, we were treated with rudeness which should have been a sign to turn around and walk out but we chose to sit down. We then ordered an entree and five different pasta dishes for the five of us to which the waiter complained that five different pasta dishes would be difficult for the chef (!?!?) All the pasta dishes were on the menu except for one which was a simple spaghetti for my young son. I then overheard the waiter complaining loudly to the owner that we only ordered pasta and different pasta dishes.We wanted to also order wine (but never received the wine list) and chances are we would have ordered dessert. I have never been met with such rudeness at a restaurant. Avoid this place if you want to be treated with kindness and respect...

Food was great, service was not. Waiters were abrupt, comparing that we were not ordering enough food, complained that we didn’t order more starters, complained that we didn’t purchase lobster! Mi sarebbe piaciuto dare a questo ristorante 5 stelle, perché ho mangiato dell'ottimo pesce e bevuto del buon vino, ma la seconda sera ci siamo permessi di far notare che nei piatti di spaghetti con le vongole c'era mezzo centimetro di olio, quindi la mantecatura non era riuscita, e, premesso che probabilmente avremmo dovuto rimandarli indietro invece che mangiarli (lo abbiamo fatto per fame), io non li avrei addebitati a dei miei clienti, soprattutto a quelli che spendono più di 550 euro per due cene. Non ho scattato fotografie, ma ne allego una di un piatto di linguine con vongole e bottarga che ho mangiato ieri al ristorante La barca di Rho, per mostrare cosa dovrebbe rimanere alla fine. In ogni caso, Salvatore con noi è stato gentile e disponibile, quindi spero di non ricevere una risposta "acida", come capitato ad altri, perché le critiche, se mosse con educazione, devono servire a migliorare e...
