Ambience – 4 out of 5 The restaurant looks inviting and is nicely designed. The interior has a pleasant atmosphere with small tables along the sides. It’s a place that visually makes a good first impression.

Food – 2 out of 5 Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. Both the fish and the meat portions were extremely small – barely more than a few bites – and came with just a few fried chips on the side. If you’re coming here to get full, you’d better eat something beforehand. The Black Angus beef was also very tough and hard to chew. On the positive side: after returning the meat, it was not included in the final bill.

Service & overall experience – 1 out of 5 The overall experience was far below expectations, especially considering the high prices – even for the wine. On top of that, communication in English was nearly impossible, which made the experience even more frustrating. Sadly, we cannot...

We visited this restaurant because most others were closed in the afternoon. The overall rating of 4.2 is far higher than this place deserves.

We ordered the salad with green salad, rucola and oranges, the orecchiette pasta with tomatoes and beef meatballs, and the Black Angus burger.

While the salad was decent at first—not great, but not terrible—the other two dishes were absolutely awful. The orecchiette was drowning in a cheap, store-bought tomato sauce, and the burger was the worst dish I have ever tried in my life. To begin with, it wasn’t even a burger—just a slice of bread with a Black Angus meatball on top. It reeked of burned vegetable oil and was completely soaked in it. The taste was terrible, and we left without finishing our meals.

Anche in questo caso, per la scelta del Ristorante in cui cenare ad Ostuni, ci siamo fidati del consiglio degli abitanti e abbiamo scelto, tra le varie proposte, La Vispa Teresa.

Abbiamo impiegato un po' per arrivare, tanto erano affollati i vicoli del centro. Alle 22.30 chiediamo un tavolo per 6 persone, che sarebbe stato disponibile dopo 30 minuti - e così è stato-. Peccato che il personale quasi ci scoraggiava a voler attendere. Nell'attesa abbiamo ordinato una bottiglia di vino da poter bere nel vicolo antistante il locale. Un vino che ci era stato detto costasse 12 €, ma che in realtà ne costava 15 (e ci è stato comunicato solo alla terza bottiglia).

Avevamo intenzione di ordinare 4 primi diversi, in modo da accontentare le esigenze di ognuno e per poter assaggiare un po' tutto. Il cameriere che si occupava del nostro tavolo, però, ce l ha impedito consigliandoci di compattare le scelte in virtù di tempi d'attesa minori. Abbiamo scelto gnocchetti ceci e vongole con pane soffritto e orecchiette alle cime di rapa e frutti di mare. Inutile negare che le nostre aspettative erano ormai basse, quasi inesistenti, ma il sapore di quei primi piatti era sublime. Si avvertiva il gusto degli ingredienti freschi e la mano esperta che li aveva cucinati. Per i secondi abbiamo potuto provare diverse opzioni, di carne e di pesce, tutte molto buone ed invitanti. Personalmente, ho scelto un trancio di tonno agli agrumi - che mi aspettavo sì diverso, meno cotto e più abbondante- ma che comunque mi ha soddisfatta.

Il totale per 6 primi, 5 secondi e 3 bottiglie di vino è stato di 170 euro.
