Bar Blanco — Restaurant in Palermo

If you like bars and restaurants off the beaten track, you're in good hands here. It's always busy at lunchtime, as the neighbourhood comes here for lunch. There are daily specials written on the blackboard. And in the display case you can see the vegetables and side dishes of the day. For all those who prefer protein and avoid too many empty, unhealthy carbohydrates (paneer, pasta): there are also two meat dishes on the standard menu.

The veal steak was very good today.

Unfortunately, plastic tippy cups are served for water (in Germany, these nasty cups are only used for urine samples at the doctor's).

Why the Palermitani are so crazy about plastic will probably remain a mystery to me forever, because this passion is deadly for people and the environment.

So I bring my own water glass with me when I come here. 😅

Otherwise: fair prices, good quality, friendly operators. And also good wine-by-glass.

No tourists, but real Palermitani...

All'entrata del locale ci sono insetti dove a volte spuntavano anche le platte 🤢 Poteva essere buono il cibo ma se le persone non fanno valere il posto tutto il resto fa cacare Peccato sembrava così bella che alla fine è stata davvero un'esperienza bruttissima

5 stelle meritatissime al servizio e all’ambiente, anche se non si tratta di un vero e proprio ristorante, ma di un bar che propone antipasti, primi e secondi preparati al momento. Il personale è perfettamente proporzionato alla dimensione del locale: cordiale, disponibile e soprattutto rapido. A mio avviso, svolge il proprio lavoro in modo impeccabile. Punti di forza? Sicuramente il rapporto qualità-prezzo. Le pietanze sono sempre gustose, saporite e a base di pesce fresco. Ci sono stato diverse volte a pranzo e non sono mai rimasto deluso: una vera certezza. Il piatto che ho preferito? Le cozze, accompagnate da un sughetto da 10 e lode, seguite da un primo ai frutti di mare davvero eccellente.
