L'ingresso della chiesa è praticamente nascosto tra le bancarelle del mercato di Ballarò e il flusso di turisti ci passa accanto quasi senza notarla! Anche perché la facciata non è particolarmente accattivante e non fa immaginare la bellezza dell'interno! Questa chiesa possiede la cupola più bella di Palermo: rivestita di maioliche colorate e con meravigliose decorazioni in stucco. Il biglietto di ingresso costa 6 euro (o 4 euro se avete già i biglietti delle chiese/oratori che fanno parte del Circuito del sacro). Si può salire sul campanile (80 scalini in ferro su una scala a chiocciola) e ammirare la cupola da vicino. Inoltre c'è una bella vista di tutta la città!
