La Braciera In Villa — Restaurant in Palermo

The 2 stars are mostly for the staff who are lovely. We arrived at this restaurant stressed as we couldn’t find it! Google brings you to a locked gate, nowhere is it referenced that you have to access through the hotel entrance which is further down the road. Fine if you are a local, not good if you are a tourist. When we finally arrived, it was evening time and there were no exterior lights in the carpark so we stumbled our way trying to find the restaurant. The restaurant location could be lovely as the hotel looks quite luxurious but the mix of indoor and outdoor eating felt really disjointed. The food was edible but that was it - we ordered a mixed fried starter which was an odd selection of arinici, a chickpea type bread, fries and crisps. We ordered the grilled beef fillet for main course which came with fries or a salad (I’ve included an image). The salad was literally a head of lettuce with no other vegetable or dressing and no sauce for the beef. We normally have a dessert and an espresso after dinner but the restaurant was really noisy so we just wanted to leave. Location is very nice. In an old villa with a nice terrace. The pizza is nice, but I think that recently has lost something. I had one Romana with normal dough, and it wasn’t anything special. The ingredient were nice. The antipasto or starter was nothing special, French fries with some panelle and some crisps form the bag (poor).

We had pasta with clams veraci and pesto. It was nice, but not one of my favorite. But overall was nice.

The service was professional, I had a negroni and it was very nice one. Same for the spritz. I had to call more than once the waiter to order the drinks, but this can happen.

Villa Braciera,"fumo e niente più". Bella location, non posso dire lo stesso del cibo. Arrivare alle 21:30, ordinare piatti a base di carne Angus e sentirmi dire dopo un po' che non c'era nulla di quanto richiesto, tranne il vitello. Inoltre l'antipasto a base di cipster sintetici con patatine, qualche panella, due triangolini...Beh! In un ristorante /pizzeria di Palermo, non mi aspettavo di ricevere un simile antipasto caldo così misero e con cipster! Nemmeno nel peggior fast food americano mi hanno servito le cipster(cibo industriale). Inoltre le tagliate di vitello entrambe dure da poterle usare come suole per le scarpe. È vero che una delle due era stata ordinata ben cotta ma per l'altra era stato chiesto cottura media, nonostante ciò era altrettanto dura. Insomma sono state parzialmente mangiate, dopodiché è stato impossibile poterle finire a causa del l'impossibilità a masticare e a deglutire. Speravo che il piatto di tagliata di tonno, ordinato fosse meglio! Macché di male in peggio in quanto la consistenza del tonno era anomala. Anche questa pietanza non è stata gradita e pertanto lasciata quasi intera nel piatto. Beh! Cosa dire! Mi è dispiaciuto per come si sono sentite mortificate due gentili cameriere per il mio disappunto sulla pessima cena. Ringrazio il responsabile per avermi applicato uno sconto seppur soltanto per il mio piatto ordinato. Non ho detto nulla sull' insoddisfazione degli altri commensali nel non aver gradito le loro pietanze. Spero che il titolare legga la mia recensione, perché è un vero peccato che in una così bella location la ristorazione proposta non sia altrettanto soddisfacente. Consiglio di togliere le cipster, siamo palermitani abbiamo pietanze migliori di questi cibi surrogati. Per il resto che dire, lei è il ristoratore sicuramente saprà cosa o chi migliorare affinché questo ristorante riceva migliori recensioni da parte di clienti più soddisfatti che delusi....
