La Staffa — Restaurant in Palermo

Superb experience at La Staffa, Palermo.

My girlfriend and I had several meals at La Staffa while staying in Palermo, and, having visited multiple parts of the country, can firmly say this was some of the best food we have had in Italy. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

The restaurant is a wonderful, family run oasis, with everything made entirely from scratch using, ostensibly, the local seafood in their dishes, but also serving up many local dishes too.

If your Italian is not quite up to scratch, I recommend speaking to the son, who speaks excellent English and can help with the menu and is also thoroughly nice guy!

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 30 Personen da. Trotz Reservierung und Vorankündigung fehlten Sitzplätze, da die Bedienung überfordert war, haben wir selbst einen weiteren Tisch rangestellt. Schöne Organisation. Service zumeist schlecht gelaunt, Wartezeiten auf die Mahlzeiten sehr lang. Die ersten hatten längst aufgegessen, da haben die anderen erst die Vorspeise bekommen, miserable Koordination und Organisation. Das Brot das normalerweise ganz am Anfang kam, kam hier erst zum Schluss. Insgesamt ein Restaurant das von Gesamteindruck verirrt ist. Es versucht sich an besonderer Essenspräsentation und vergisst dabei die basics zu meistern. Damit will ich sagen zum Beispiel: manche Gerichte werden besonders schick angerichtet, das wesentliche wird missachtet. Die Tiramisu war tiefgefroren und absolut geschmacklos. Die Pizza war matschig, der caprese Salat bestand nur aus Mozzarella und Tomaten Scheiben, kein Salz kein Pfeffer, kein Salat. Seltsame Interpretation eines normalerweise sehr leckeren Salates. Die Pommes schmeckten alt. Toiletten schmutzig und ohne Papiertücher. Insgesamt sehr sehr schlechte Erfahrung. Selbst die Rechnung wollten sie nicht aufteilen damit jeder sein Essen bezahlen konnte und es gab viel Arbeit und Diskussionen. Schreckliches Restaurant. Einen extra Punkt gibt es dafür dass sie zumindest gemerkt haben dass sie scheiße sind und am Ende immerhin bemüht waren mit kostenlosen shots unsere Laune zu bessern. Dennoch absolut nicht zu empfehlen....

02 Agosto 2024, 32 Gradi a Palermo... nean he caldissimo..

Vado a cena con la famiglia e mi fanno accomodare nella sala interna con aria condizionata. Ci fanno accomodare ma da subito si caposce che la serata sarà APPICCICATICCIA.

Solo un condizionatore acceso per una sala grande con porte aperte verso l'esterno e quindi NON bastevole per il locale.

Ci portano subito i menu e per ordinare abbiamo dovuto sollecitarli.

Antipasto buono.

Nel frattempo il caldo si faceva sempre piu soffocante e la sala si stava via via riempiendo e la normale conseguenza é che si alzava ancora di più la temperatura del locale.

A questo punto chiediamo se ci possiamo spostare in un altro tavolo dove arrivava il getto dell'aria piu diretto... e CI É STATO RISPOSTO DALLA CAMERIERA.." FATE COME VOLETE" quindi armati di buona volontà e sudati abbiamo DA SOLI unito i tavoli e ci siamo portati le pizze appena arrivate.

Pizze buone ma quella di mia moglie SBAGLIATA.

Chiediamo una birra messina e ci portano solo un calice freddo e non due (io e mia moglie)

Finito tutto... pago e vado via.

PS. Nel tavolo accanto si sono dimenticati a portare gli antipasti (era una tavolata di almeno 12 persone.... hanno portato subito le pizze.

MAI PIU!!! SIA PER IL SERVIZIO MOLTO DOZZINALE che per la location che in estate...
