Sikulo Emporio - Pomo & Pomo — Restaurant in Palermo

It was a bit of a disappointment for us because a few different things were not in order:

The salmon and the side dish (mashed potatoes and steamed chard) were tasteless because they had zero spices in them—not even pepper or enough salt.

There were no napkins or salt/pepper/olive oil on the table.

The meat arrived medium-rare, although we had specifically requested it to be well-done.

It took around 8 minutes for us to be seated, even though we arrived at the time of our reservation.

It took 1 hour and 5 minutes for the first food plates (appetizers) to be brought to us.

I should mention that the waiters were friendly and tried to be accommodating, but they were clearly overwhelmed, and their availability was very limited (oftentimes, our waitress was not even in sight).

I recommend hiring more waiting staff and paying more attention to how you cook the meats and add flavor...

We tried Pomo Pomo because we knew they had good quality food (they are part of the Sikulo Emporio). However, the evening was a disappointment. Since there was a birthday party inside, we opted for the gazebo to have our dinner. We didn't realise that this meant, cars would race half a metre from our table on the road. The tent didn't have enough lights, it was really dark and sad. The food was ok, but not exceptional. Nothing to remember. The biggest issue was service: the waiters and waitresses were very nice and available. However, we got our food after a long waiting time and staff seemed really lost and confused. GRAZIE a Pomo&Pome e a Catetina, for fantastic service. The entire staff is helpful and warm. We were inspired to order the house red, Avoca, and grabbed a bottle as well. The slow roasted pork shank was amazing as well as the prosciutto pizza with walnuts, Buffalo mozzerella, and chutney were great as well. Trust me, just try it. In fact, try this locals' favorite steet side alfresco. We felt welcomed, elated, and totally satisfied. This one was a reccomendation of our fabulous hotel, the Farfore Luxury Rooms.
