We've been coming to this place for years, but this year it feels quite different. The service is almost unbearable; to enjoy a simple breakfast, you have to wait at least 30 to 40 minutes. Don’t get me wrong—the pastries are still as delicious as ever. However, the slow service is frustrating, and it's as if they realize we’re not Italian. We never receive water with our coffee, which is a standard in Italy. I've had plenty of time to observe how other customers are treated, and I see everyone getting their water except us. We're staying in Parabita for three weeks this year, and I believe we've given this café enough chances to get it right, but each time, our disappointment just grows. However, my recent experience at this particular shop was disheartening. Despite patiently waiting in line, when my turn arrived, the staff member chose to attend to a customer behind me instead. Abbiamo ordinato in occasione della cresima di nostra figlia una torta senza Glutine e Senza lattosio in questa pasticceria. Ci siamo ritornati convinti di voler dare un’altra possibilità a questa realtà salentina a detta di molti unica nelle sue creazioni. Una volta giunti nella pasticceria, abbiamo fatto notare che già in un'altra occasione il risultato non ci aveva per niente soddisfatto e ci è stato garantito che la torta sarebbe stata all'altezza dell'importanza della cerimonia. Ora… tralasciando l’aspetto economico, il prodotto è stato una vera delusione. Il panettone di fondo quasi impercettibile ed eccessivamente inzuppato tanto da far colare la bagna durante le foto della torta, le creme altra delusione. In definitiva una pasticceria da cancellare. Avremmo preferito che ci venisse detto che non sarebbero stati in grado di realizzare un buon prodotto al posto di ritrovarci con un dolce deludente. Se la mano che ha realizzato questo dolce è realmente stata quella di un Maestro pasticcere…. ben me ne guarderei perché si tratta della peggiore torta che ho acquistato negli ultimi 5 anni; se diversamente, come penso e mi auguro, la realizzazione non sia passata dalle sue dalle sue mani; fossi in lui mi preoccuperei di guardare il fare dei collaboratori con più attenzione perché il nome che corre resta sempre quello del titolare di un’attività.
