Nò-do Restaurant — Restaurant in Paratico

This used to be our favorite restaurant in that area, but after the recent change of owner and chef, it became terrible-- awful service, poor food and sky high prices. We shall not go back there. We DID go back, and this was our experience after all the changes and time that has passed: The lake view is magnificent, the service is (usually) attentive, the food is imaginative and unusual, and the prices are reasonable. However, the menu was a bit TOO inventive for us, and we found little to choose from. My veal was properly cooked, but my wife's fish was disappointing, as were some of the other...

No-Do is a must go. Had a very good, slightly over-the-top, lunch here after Mille Miglia. Clearly Chef takes food seriously. Every dish our party of eight tried was beautifully presented, well thought out, and ranged somewhere between very good and delicious. Service terrific. Good local wines and grappa. If a nice day, sit outside by the lake. Just wished they had offered a cruise on an Invictus...

Siamo stati oggi a pranzo in questo locale, ignari che ci fosse e particolarmente colpito dalla bellezza per come si presentava. Nonostante non avessimo prenotato, ci han fatto accomodare dandoci anche un posto a noi più gradito, il che già non è poco a parer mio. Servizio devo dire, impeccabile, cameriere VERAMENTE gentile, che svolge il suo lavoro con il sorriso quando invece mi è capitato di andare in altri posti ed esser trattata con indifferenza, nonostante io li poi avrei pagato. Serviti da Dio, con garbo ed educazione, iniziando da un piattino di benvenuto, Super apprezzato, piatti serviti nei tempi giusti, tutto molto buono ma ripeto, trattati coi guanti, cosa che io NOTO perché anche io svolgo un lavoro avendo a che fare con la gente!!! Apprezzatissimo quindi TUTTO, dal come ci hanno accolto a tutta la durata del nostro pranzo, per poi finire piacevolmente con una portata di “ringraziamento finale” che consisteva nel portare due gelatini, un gesto davvero gradito, non me lo sarei mai aspettato eppure è stato veramente un gesto carinissimo! Complimenti quindi, al proprietario, al cameriere e a tutto il modo in cui hanno affrontato il servizio nei nostri confronti, torneremo...
